Daddy Rayne 😍.
Dak 🏈
"217! 217! Hut!" I call.
The ball was snapped to me. I ran out of the pocket, looking for an open receiver. I automatically found Jason Witten, throwing a nice spiral straight into his hands.
He caught it, but got taken down at the 20.
"That's good! Good running Jay." Coach Garrett said.
Jason grinned, tossing the ball our long snapper.
"Hey Dak, can you give me the ball now?" Zeke asked.
I chuckle.
"Maybe man. Depends on the play coach calls." I say.
He groaned like a child. I laugh.
"Stop being a big baby. Get on the line." I say.
After about 3 hours of hustling and bustling with my teammates, practice was finally over.
"Dak, when you go home, I want you to go over some film. Continue to get yourself mentally prepared for competition." Coach said.
I nod.
"Alright, everyone hit the showers. You all stink." He said.
The whole team laughs as we make out way to the locker room.
Gotta love coach.

Walking into the house that night felt like a breath of relief. I walk to the living room to see Nicole and Jeremiah knocked out on the couch with Kimberly.
I smile. I walk upstairs to see Jordan and Elijah asleep in their room. Elijah in his bed and Jordan in his. I walk out of their room, although I have to come back anyway.
I walk to Jayden and Jaylen's room. Both were asleep in their beds too. I kiss both of them on the forehead and turn off their room light as well, closing the door.
I walk back downstairs. I pick up Jeremiah and carry him upstairs to Jordan and Elijah's room. I place him in his bed, which is the top bunk to Jordan's. I then turn off the light and close the door.
I walk downstairs again and pick up Nicole, carrying her to her room. I place her in the bed and cover her up. I kiss her cheek and turn off her room light too, closing her door.
I walk into my room and place my bag in the closet. I walk downstairs to the kitchen and turn off the light. I walk into the living room and turn off the TV.
I tap Kimberly's thigh to wake her up. She groaned as she sat up.
"Hmm?" She said.
"Come on, let's go to bed." I say.
She held her arms up to me. I smile, picking her up. She wrapped her arms around my neck and her legs around my waist. I turn off the rest of the lights downstairs before carrying her up the stairs.
No matter what, she's always gonna be my baby.

I woke up to birds chirping. I groaned as the sunlight beamed on my face. It was soon covered by Cameron's head.
"Daddy!" She exclaimed.
"Hey baby girl." I reply, groggily.
She giggled at my voice and I smiled. She laid her head on my chest. I place my hand on her back, rubbing her back.
"Good morning baby girl." I say, patting her back.
She groaned. I sat up in the bed, with her attached to me. I tiredly walked to the stairs. I walked down, to see the other 6 dressed and ready for school, all at the island eating breakfast.
"Looks like Mommy got a head start today." I say.
All of the kids turned to look at me, their eyes widened.
"Daddy!" They all exclaim.
"Hey guys." I say.
I kiss all of them on the head, before placing Cameron in her high chair. I walk into the kitchen to greet my wife. I wrap my arms around her waist and kiss the back of her head.
"Good morning." She said.
"Good morning." I reply.
"How'd you sleep?" She asked.
"Okay. A little sore from yesterday's practice. But I'm fine." I say.
"You sound pretty good to me." She said.
I smile. She turned off the stove and turned to face me.
"Do you have practice today?" She asked.
"No, today I'm off." I say, kissing her nose.
"Then you can help me drop the kids off at school. I could really use the extra help today." She said.
"What do I get in return?" I say, staring straight into her eyes.
"A long hug and a kiss." She said.
I chuckle, rolling my eyes.
"Whatever you say Kimberly." I say.
She giggled as I back away from her.
"I love you." She said.
"I love you too." I say, turning to face the kids.
All of them were dressed up nicely in their uniforms. Except for Jeremiah, his school didn't require uniform. Nicole had on her blue plaid dress and white school shirt. She wore white stockings and black and white shoes.
The boys had on navy blue pants and white shirts to coordinate. All wore black Adidas because...well, they're boys. They're gonna do what they want anyway. And if they choose to, it has to be my way.
"Okay. Well, I'm gonna go freshen up and I'll meet you guys in the car." I say.
They all nod.
"Go get your things guys." Kimberly said.
About a second later, they were all rushing past me to get up the stairs. I smile as I walk into my room.
This is an everyday thing.

The kids sat in their usual seats in the Escalade. Nicole, Jeremiah and Cameron had the second row seats. Jayden, Jaylen, Elijah and Jordan had the third row seats. Kimberly was in the passenger seat and I was in the drivers seat.
The kids were all singing along to Stay by Zedd ft. Alessia Cara. Kimberly was typing in some things in her reminder.
"Jeremiah has basketball practice at 4. Nicole has gymnastics at 4:30. The boys have football practice at 6. And Elijah has soccer practice at 5:00." She said.
"Sounds like a busy day for Mama Kay huh?" I say, grinning.
"Yup. Can't wait to get home and take a nap." She said, yawning and stretching.
"Then get up and get right back to work?" I say.
"Yup. That's why I need all hands on deck today." She said.
"I'm here for you." I say, rubbing the top of her hand with my thumb.
She smiles.
Anything to keep that smile on her face 😍.
