I was in the diner with Monica when I got a call that Jordan was in the principals office. I sigh as we get off the phone.
"What happened?" Monica asked.
"That damn Jordan, that's what." I reply.
"Oh boy." She said.
"Yeah. I just had to have 4 of em." I say, face palming.
She laughs.
"Look on the bright side." She said.
I wait until she explains what the "bright side" is.
"Yeah I got nothing." She said.
I groan.
"Now I have to go to the school to figure out what the hell this boy done got himself into." I say.
"Mommy duties." She said.
"Exactly." I say.
We finish up our lunch, then I head to her house to drop her off. I then make my way to the kids school. Yes, they're all in the same school, thank Jesus.
I walk into the building, signing in at the security desk. I spot Nicole in the hallway getting water. Her eyes widened when she saw me.
"Mom." She said.
"Nic." I say.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, walking up to me.
"Jordan." I say.
"Should've known." She said.
I chuckle.
"Well get back to class, I'll see you later." I say.
She nods then heads back to class. I walk to the principals office. When I walk in, the first person I see is Jordan.
"Oh great, you're here." Mrs. Berkeley exclaims.
I nod.
"Let's go to my office where we can have a more private conversation." She said.
She led the way to her office. The teacher, who I assume reported Jordan, followed. Jordan was behind her, then me. Mrs. Berkeley closes the door behind us as we enter her office.
She went to sit behind her desk as me and Jordan sat on the other side. The teacher stood by the desk.
"Let's get right into it." Mrs. Berkeley says.
I nod.
"Ms. Sheffield here has reported that Jordan used inappropriate slander toward her during his English period today." Mrs. Berkeley said.
"What did he say?" I ask.
"Would you like to tell her Jordan?" Mrs. Berkeley said.
I look at him, to see him shaking his head.
"What did you say to her Jordan?" I ask sternly.
He looked at me for a hot minute, then spoke.
"I told her to suck my balls." He mumbled, but I heard him loud and clear.
Before I could stop myself, the back of my hand went flying straight to his mouth, hard. He whimpered as he covered his mouth, tears brimming at his eyes.
"Apologize to her, right now!" I say.
"I'm sorry." He muffled into his hand.
"I can't here you. Speak up like you did during class Jordan." I say, snatching his hand from his mouth.
He had these big crocodile tears falling down his cheeks as he cried hysterically. Him crying was the least of my worries right now.
"I'm sorry Ms. Sheffield." He said.
"It's okay Jordan." She replied.
I stared him down, livid.
"Let me explain something to you." I say.
He avoided my gaze, crying.
"Look at me. Right. Now." I say.
He didn't think twice about it. His light brown eyes met mine immediately.
"That is a grown woman. How dare you come out ya mouth and say that to her? Are you stupid? I know good and well that you're not. And they're not even that big for you to be telling people that." I say.
He wiped at a few of his tears, still crying.
"I don't know where you learned that from, but you better get ya mind out of the gutter. You are 9 years old, you know better than that. And I know I raised you much better than that. If I ever hear that you're telling people to suck on this and suck on that, the ass whooping that I'm about to give you will not be your last. I can promise you that right now." I say, making sure he heard me loud and clear.
He nods. I turn to the teacher and the principal.
"I am so sorry about his behavior. I can assure you that it will not happen again." I say.
"Thank you." They said.
I nod. I look back at Jordan, who's still crying.
"Getchoassup." I say, standing up from my seat.
He stood up as well, grabbing his book bag and leading the way out the office. I pop him in the back of the head on the way out. He was still crying, rubbing his head now.
"No Xbox for the rest of the month." I say.
"What?! No mommy no." He exclaimed, throwing a fit now.
I continued walking down the hall, listening to him cry and jump around. I turn to see him on the floor down on his knees, crying with his book bag in front of him. I walk over to him, grabbing him by the non injured arm and picking him up. I then start spanking his behind.
"Stop acting like a god damn fool and let's go." I say, picking his book bag up off the floor.
I drag him out of the school building, him still crying and throwing a fit. We make it to the car. I open the door, picking him up and putting him in. He continued crying and trying to plead with me. I was just acting like I ain't hear him.
I get into the drivers seat, starting the car and pulling off. He cried non stop.
"Jordan, shut up! You know what you did was wrong so I don't wanna hear it." I say.
He cried some more. At this point I didn't care. He knows what he did was wrong and I refuse to show sympathy toward the crying fit he was throwing.
When we got home he went straight to his room. He stayed cooped up in there for about 4 hours. I had removed the game system before that; it's in the closet in my room.
I sat on the couch in the living room, completely unbothered. I don't care how mad or sad he is, there was no reason for him to come out his mouth and say that to his teacher. He must be out his god damn mind.
See Dak wouldn't hit him, but I damn sure will.
