Kimberly ❤️
"Jayden please stop running." I exclaim.
By the time I finished saying it, he had already collided with Cameron, who was walking toward me. She fell flat on her butt, crying.
"Jayden!" I say.
"I'm sorry." He said.
"Sit down." I say.
He quickly scrambles his way to the couch and sits down. I pick up Cameron, who was balling her eyes out.
"It's okay baby girl." I say, kissing her cheek.
"Mommy! Jeremiah threw up!" Jordan exclaimed from upstairs.
I roll my eyes.
"I'm coming!" I say.
I walk into the living room with Cameron on my hip. I place her in Nicole's lap.
"Hold your sister for me please. I'll be right back. Don't do anything stupid Jayden." I say, pointing at him.
He held his hands up defensively. I walk up the stairs. On the way up, Jaylen was about to run right into me. I grabbed him before he did.
"You and your brother need to cut all this running. Just cuz your daddy ain't home don't mean you can act up. Stop running." I say.
He nodded vigorously, making his way downstairs. As I walked down the hall, I was picking up socks and clothes. Mostly the boys clothes.
"Jesus Christ." I say, placing the clothes in the hamper.
I walk into Jordan and Elijah's room. Indeed Jeremiah had thrown up, right by the door. And I just missed it, thank god.
"Come here Jeremiah." I say.
He slowly made his way over to me. I grab his hand and walk him to the bathroom. I run him a bath, getting him cleaned up.
After I clean him up, I change his clothes. Into a pair of khaki shorts and a plaid shirt. I take him downstairs and give him some medicine.
"Stay here until I get back." I say.
I run back upstairs. I walk into the bathroom to grab some gloves, Pinesol and other materials. I walk back into Jordan and Elijah's room.
"Mom, it stinks." Jordan said.
"Do you expect it to smell good?" I say.
He giggles. I get down on my knees and begin to clean up Jeremiah's vomit. The boy has been quite sick lately. But I haven't been able to take him to the doctor yet.
Dak is having pro camps, preseason workouts, etc. Nicole is in gymnastics. Jordan, Jayden and Jaylen have football games and practices. Elijah has soccer practice and Jeremiah is in basketball. And on top of that, they ALL have school.
Jeremiah is in the 1st grade because he's 6 years old. Elijah is in 2nd grade because he's 7. Jordan is in 3rd grade because he's 8. Nicole is in 5th grade because she's 10. And the twins are in 6th grade, being that they're 12.
I'm just a stay at home mom taking care of Cameron, who's only 1. The only time I really do have alone time is when I'm in the dance studio. But even then, I have Cameron with me. And she cries a lot.
Monica and Zeke have 13 year old Landon. Their 9 year old daughter Eliza. And their 1 year old daughter Rachel. Landon and Eliza are in school and Monica is in the same boat with me; staying at home with the youngest.
We haven't had a girls day in months, almost years. And when we do see each other, it's when thing 1 and 2 have home games. Except I see Zeke all the time, because he always wants to come over. So yeah, in other words, our girl times are cut short.
Lord, just give me one day.
I finished cleaning up Jeremiah's vomit.
"You two, stop playing that game and get this room cleaned up. It looks like a tornado flew through here." I say, looking around their room.
"Yes mom." Both reply, pausing the game and going to clean up.
I head downstairs to throw out the dirty paper towels and gloves. I grabbed my phone off the island and proceeded to call the kids pediatrician.
After 10 minutes of conversing with him, I was able to schedule an appointment for Jeremiah. I made him a bowl of Chicken Noodle soup with a side of crackers.
"No regular food for you until after we figure out the problem." I say.
He nods, eating his soup. I kiss his forehead and walk to the living room.
"Mommy, my head hurts." Nicole said.
I take Cameron from her. I grab her hand and escort her to the kitchen as well. I give her some medicine.
"It'll kick in in about 20 minutes. Give it some time." I say.
She nods. I place Cameron down on the floor and she runs over to her play area. I grab the basket of dirty clothes and proceed to the basement.
"Can I help mom?" Jayden asked.
"Yeah sure. Take this downstairs for me." I say.
He grabs the basket from me and takes it downstairs. I grab the Tide and other detergents, then proceeded down the stairs.
"Mommy!" Cameron screamed.
"Yes baby girl?" I reply.
"I tired." She said.
"Give me a minute, I'll be right up." I say.
She whined.
"Jayden can you watch this for me? I'll be right back." I say.
He nods. I jog up the stairs, grabbing Cameron and carrying her upstairs to her room, which is connected to mine and Dak's.
I lay her down in her crib. She twisted and turned until she got herself comfortable. After 15 minutes of watching her, she finally fell asleep.
I went back downstairs to continue the laundry. I kiss Jayden on the forehead.
"Thanks for the help Jay. Go upstairs and finish your homework. Tell your brothers to do the same as well." I say.
He nods, making his way upstairs. I lean against the washer machine, sighing. I just absolutely can not wait until 8:00PM hits. That's curfew in this house. And it's only 10:15AM.
After about 2 hours of washing loads of clothes, folding and organizing them, I was finally able to sit down. The twins were doing homework, Jeremiah was asleep on my lap, Nicole was in the arm chair watching TV, Jordan and Elijah were upstairs playing Xbox and Cameron was taking a nap.
I was finally able to kick my feet up and relax. Not really much to worry about with the kids. They were all quiet, which is very suspicious at times. Well, Elijah and Jordan weren't quiet.
"Shut it up! Cameron is sleeping!" I yell from downstairs.
"Sorry Mommy!" They reply.
After that I sigh when I hear no more noise. I'm just glad they were quiet. Now I could think. But part of being a mom didn't require much thinking. Everything was moving 100mph. Birthdays, school shows, sports, it was madness.
But I'm glad I'm able to handle it.
Hey guys! Kimberly's back. And she's back with 7 kids instead of 3. Woah there! I honestly couldn't wait to get this book started. I figured I couldn't let you guys wait any longer.
Anyway, here's the first chapter of book 2. Hope you enjoy!
