Forgotten Identity

I looked around the room to see nothing but mangled corpses. Blood was sprayed against the wall. I had to use my wings to push aside some of the body parts as I looked around for the angel. He was strong, but I knew I was stronger. "Hey fuckhead! Stop hiding and show yourself!" I flew out of the house and started to look around the city. Everywhere I looked there was chaos. The boys had told me the world would end with a battle of the white and black but I didn't know humans would be affected. I had so many human or well human as possible friends and I didn't want them to get hurt, ever. As I flew I looked below me to see all the people screaming and running, my side was taking the battle a little too far by blowing up buildings but it made a point, it told the whites to piss off! I flew through the city avoiding the flying people and car parts that both sides were throwing. Then I saw him, Will was standing with the angel behind him, Both of them looked at me but only Will spoke. "Amy, please no more fighting." His voice brought tears to my eyes and I landed letting my wings fold into my back. Will walked over to me hugging me.
"Will, I want to...I do, but it has to be done, he needs to pay." I was trying not to cry and I could see the angel tensing behind Will.
"They got Steph, she was killed." I froze, this has gotten worse than I thought...all because....NO! I can't think they need to suffer like I am now!

I woke with a start, what a screwed up dream, it felt so real. I got out of bed and washed my face trying to forget the faces of all the people who were killed. I pulled some jeans and my blue tank-top on just as I saw the flowers Will gave me had started to die. I sighed and pulled them out of the vase into the bin. Will was one of my best friends now, it's been a week since we met, but it's like we have known each other forever. We spend as much time together unless I'm with my brothers or boyfriend, or he is with his girlfriend, then I hang out with Amber (though she hangs with me and Will all the time). The three amigos Amb, Will and Am. Just as I finished trying up my hair I got a text message from Will Kayla wants to hang with you and Leo, that ok? If so meet you both at the lake for a picnic. I smiled Kayla was sweet and Leo got along with her well, plus he backs off Will when she was around. I told Leo to meet me at the lake as soon as possible and grabbed a six pack of Will's favourite beer I managed to steal off Adrian ready to have a great day. As I was walking down to the lake Leo came behind me putting an arm round my shoulders making me jump in shock. He smiled and kissed my forehead. "Hello Beautiful." I blushed, still not used to the fact he meant me. He looked me up and down before catching me off guard. "Why aren't you wearing that stupid bracelet? The one you're dead boyfriend got you?" I looked down to see he was right; I wasn't wearing Zack's bracelet. But that wasn't what annoyed me, what got to me was the way Leo talked about him.
"Respect the dead Leo, it's not stupid it's beautiful and I guess I forgot to wear it. I put it in my box last night must have forgotten to put it on with your necklace." He moved some of my hair out of my face and smiled.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean it the way it sounded, well it's good you took it off, means you can move you completely, you know forget what happened that day." He was right again, I was over Zack and the fire, and it was like I had a brand new life now with my brothers and amazing boyfriend and super cool friends. I nodded and saw Kayla and Will waving towards us.

At the lake Will had already set up a blanket with an open basket with cupcakes, fruit and chocolate coated strawberries, Will knew me well. I put the beer on the blanket and hugged will tight. "Hey Pom, how ya been?" He hugged me back smiling
"Pretty good Angel you?" I shrugged and laughed. I loved his nickname for me, the three amigos all had nicknames I was Angel Will was Pommy and Amber was hot-head. The three of us were the only ones who knew what my nickname meant other than brothers. I saw Kayla and Leo hug then I was pulled into a warm embrace from a short little fairy. Kayla was short only about five foot, she has blond hair that she always wears in pigtails with pink bows. Plus she is always so damn happy she may as well be a fairy. But she really was just cool, she refuses to tell anyone what she is saying it's her own little secret but her and Leo used to know each other. She was a military kid and they went to school with each other for a little while. "Hey Kayla."
"God Angel you are amazing!" he was holding up one of the beers I brought "I haven't been able to find these anywhere. What the hell would I do without you?" I smiled
"Die? Burn in a deep hole?" He pushed me down and Kayla sat on his lap as if to remind she was with him. I ignored her holding his hand and joined in with Will laughter. Leo sat down and put an arm around me protectively. We always had more fun alone. Will and I didn't talk much while we ate, Kayla and Leo talked enough for all of us. While they talked I thought about Zack and being over him. After a few hours Kayla looked at her watch. "Oh! I have to go! I promised Adrian I would help him buy a gift.: She shot up and only Leo got up to go with her.
"I'll walk you back, I need to call home anyway." He gave me a kiss at the same time Kayla kissed Will. "I'll see you later babe." and they walked off together. When they were gone I let myself fall back putting my hands behind my head watching the clouds. Will joined me on his side looking at me
"What?" he just continued to look at me it started to freak me out "Will? What the hell is wrong?"
"Good question can you answer? I mean you were completely spaced out today." I sighed, funny how Will noticed not Leo.
"I was just thinking, I forgot Zack's bracelet today, and Leo said it meant I was over it all, I think he's right. But I still feel like something's missing. I've always felt it, but I thought it was my brothers. They are here now so I don't know. Maybe I'm just missing Zack. I know I'm over him so...ah I'm so messed up!" Will sat up pulling me up with him. He picked up a strawberry and put it in my hand.
"Yes Angel you are indeed screwed up." I smiled at him "but, you are also a teenager, we are all screwed up. Hell I met my girlfriend in a drunken haze thanks to her ex who happens to be your brother" I laughed but stopped suddenly
"Adrian and Kayla went out? That's not possible." He stared at me and I put the stem of my berry down. "Age never talks to girls he has 'dated', he said he invited her 'cause she was new. It was her first day." He shook his head
"She said they dated before she came here, before he left." I shrugged obviously I didn't know what happened with my brothers before I came here, and they have been here longer than me.
"Ok Pommy." I lay my head in his lap and shut my eyes. We lay there like that, not talking for what felt like hours. It was wonderful, the water calm and a breathtaking shade of blue with the sun reflecting in just the right way, giving us just enough light to see but not giving us a chance to burn or be blinded. I started to smiled making sure I remembered every detail of this exact moment; the way Will looked, his black hair had grown out so it was just covering his eyes which he had shut. He was smiling his perfect smile. I knew if I ever felt alone or upset I could go back to this moment. The most amazing moment in my life, I don't remember ever being happy till I lay here with Will.
"Amy!" I opened my eyes to see Adrian and Jason running down to the lake in the hurry. "Amy, you need to leave the school!" This got my attention, I jumped up followed by Will, who until this moment seemed invisible to the boys.
"Why the hell would I do that? I'm finally happy!" I crossed my arms over my chest and stood my ground, no way in hell they would get me to leave without a fight.
"Oh crap, she has that look again." Jason gave me weird look but Adrian just waved his comment to the side.
"Angels, lots and lots of angels, they are coming to the school, posing as students; they must know you're here, they are coming for you! Before you learn who you are!"
