Forgotten Identity

Thirteen

I landed in front of the warehouse and folded my wings into my back, something I would have to get used to. There was nothing here, the streets were dead. I started having second thoughts about meeting Leo here. Before I could think anymore I heard a loud scream. "HELP! STOP IT PLEASE!" It took me a moment for me to register the voice that was WILL screaming!
"WILL! I'M COMING!" I ran through the black double doors. I looked around but I couldn't see anything. Once my eyes had adjusted to the darkness, I slowly started seeing shapes around. I was in a large empty room. There was one window above the railings; you had to stretch your neck to see it. There was a table in the middle of the room covered with pizza boxes and papers. I searched through trying to get an understanding of what was going on. I heard a cough and looked up. Against the wall was Will! I ran over to him, Will was chained to the wall by metal chains. His eyes were closed, he looked exhausted. I couldn't see any serious injuries and he didn't look to malnourished. Looking at the chains I knew there was no way they could come off without hurting Will. I bit my lip and tried to think about fire, about Amber and felt my hands warm up. Eventually Will let out a whimper of pain as the metals started to melt. I freed his arms and knelt down to give his legs the same treatment. These didn't take long to melt and before long Will was on the floor next to me, free. I let my hands cool down and knelt down, afraid to touch him. He smiled gently and hugged me tight.
"I knew you would come and save me angel, you will never guess who the angels are!" I pulled away from him; of course Will would have seen then angels from school. His announcement was interrupted by my phone.
"Hello?"
"Where the hell are you?!" Adrian's voice was full of panic something I had never heard from him ever.
"I'm with Will, I found him and I saved him, all on my own." I didn't even bother hiding the pride in my voice for not needing my brothers for once in my life.
"That's great, now you fly right back here with him so we can work out a plan to strike, you can't face them by yourself, no one can, not even me or Jas, they are way too strong. "
"You might not be able too but I thought you said I was a special case."
"You are but....look can we talk when I know my sisters safe? please?" I sighed and hung up. A sly smile appeared on my lips as I turned to Will.
"How would you like to see my wings?" He returned the smile and we were out.

"WOOOOOO!" Will held his arms out as we flew through the air.
"Would you stay still! You're hard enough to hold as it is! Don't make me drip you Pommy" he looked up at me and smiled an apologetic smile and remained still. At last I could see my house and glided down to the grass, only to find my brothers standing outside with their arms folded. If I wasn't in so much trouble, the sight would have made me laugh. Jason was wearing an apron and holding a rolling pin while Adrian had a newspaper....it was like mum and dad after sneaking out of the house. Once we had landed both boys looked at Will and gestured to the house. Will got the hint and ran inside. "What the fuck is wrong with you Amy?!" Adrian was the first to break the silence. He caught me by surprise. I knew sneaking off was a stupid thing to do, but my best friend was in trouble. Besides I thought I was seeing my boyfriend not saving Will I just went to the wrong place. Adrian never gave me a chance to speak because he just kept going. "There is a crazy angel trying to kill you but who cares?! Just go fly around, Why don't I get you a goddamned neon sign saying 'Fallen Angel here' to follow you around? That way we make it easy for them to find you!" He was bright red. Adrian always had a temper but this was extreme for him. I was scared to move or speak. Jason put an arm on Adrian's arm calming him down.
"Let her talk, maybe she has an explanation." He was calm and just as suddenly as it appeared the monster in Adrian disappeared. Adrian nodded in my direction giving me permission to speak.
"Leo rang me, he wanted to meet me near my old house, but I must have gone to the wrong place 'cause I ended up finding Will, so I just had to save him. He's my best friend. I didn't think I acted. Plus I managed to use my fire." Adrian looked at me with a sly grin
"That's my girl" He picked me up in a massive bear hug and carried me inside squealing.
We went back inside and Will sat on the couch. We tried letting him rest but he wouldn't hear of it, "I know....I know" He continued to repeat. The twins would hush him hush him every time. "Angel I know who-" Jason put his hand over Wills mouth trying to shut him up.
"Ah! Damn it!" Jason moved his hand as Will bit down.
"Leo! Amy, it's Leo! He's the angel!" I stared at Will, was he crazy? Will must have been mistaken, Leo would never do this, I had to set him straight, but I couldn't find my voice.
"L...Leo? Leo is a good guy, Will he would never"
"I know what I saw Amy!"
"Your brain only saw what you wanted to, it was playing tricks on you!" Will never liked Leo, his brain must have made him see Leo because he wanted to see it.
"Yes Amy, I wanted to see Leo try to kill me. I wanted to see my girlfriend tie me up cause she is an angel too!" That had me stunned, Will wouldn't make that up...oh god! I couldn't say anything in fear I would cry. I ran to my room, stunned unable to think, finally I found sleep.

I awoke to the sun rising and headed down to find the boys. As I got down the stairs I started to hear voices. I hid in the shadows listening "She doesn't believe me" Will's accent was clean, so was the hurt in his voice.
"We know, she cares for him to much, maybe she will stop the fighting and marry him." Jason was trying to keep everyone calm but all he got was a snort from Adrian. I knew how they would be seated. Will would be on the couch, Adrian leaning against the fire place arms crossed and Jason sitting on the floor trying to keep things calm.
"Why didn't you keep her away from him!" Will shouted this and I heard him stand up "Some brothers you are letting her get serious with an ANGEL!" I heard more footsteps, a thump and choking.
"Really? What the fuck did you want us to do? Oh hi, welcome to your new school. we are your brothers and Leo is an angel, see you later? We couldn't! We had to let her work it out and it was too late by then. We did the best we could!" Adrian was pissed, I didn't know if I should run in and stop him or not.
"Well....now you've doomed the world or married her off, the way she acts towards Leo you married her off." I heard the slap of flesh hitting flesh, the a thump of a body hitting the floor. I ran in to find Will on the floor, his lip bleeding and Adrian standing over him"
"She will NEVER marry a white! We are a team! That's how it works! It does not work when it is just two of us, it doesn't work when we are alone! It's three of us! THREE!! So don't you dare tell me I am losing my sister, I will never lose her again! We are all living together till the end of our lives, just as our parents planned." With that he stormed out leaving us all stunned.
