No one POV

As soon as the Jauregui siblings got home, their parents were ushering them into the lounge room as if their lives depended on sitting in a living room. When they were finally seated Lauren decided to try and make sense of this mess.

"Ok why did we have to leave school?" Lauren asks to get the conversation started.
"Lauren your mana-- " Clara, Their mother tried explaining but was quickly cut off by Alyx.

"Clara I'll explain, Lauren look I know you chose to go back to school but--" Alyx started but was also cut off by the door bell ringing, thank the lord himself. I didn't know why Alyx was here instead of in L.A. but if she is, it can't be good.

"I'll get it" Michael, their father, yelled not wanting to be anywhere near that situation. He went to open the door as the uncomfortable conversation continued in the living room.

"Lauren you need to come back to L.A. to re--" Alyx tried again but was cut off once again but by Chris this time.

"QUICK LAUREN, UPSTAIRS NOW!!!" He yelled and Lauren ran upstairs, while everyone else acts casual when the door was opened.

"Hi, does Lauren Morgado live here?" Normani asks Mike after the door was opened.

Lauren's POV

After Mike convinced Normani he didn't know a Lauren Morgado, she left and Lauren came downstairs. Thankfully Alyx had left just after Normani, saving Lauren from an uncomfortably awkward situation. After all she went through today, Lauren just wants to go to sleep. So she plugs her phone in to charge, tucks it under her pillow and drifts off into a somewhat peaceful slumber.

BEEP!!! BEEP!!! BEEP!!! BEEP!!!

Ugh it's only my second morning waking up to this stupid alarm and I already want to throw it out the window.

I reluctantly get out of my bed and get straight into the shower. Once I'm out I throw on a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and my The 1975 t-shirt. I straighten my hair and apply light makeup to make my eyes pop. I figure if this is the situation I'm in, why not make the best of it?

Once I'm ready grab my leather jacket and car keys and wait for Chris and Taylor. As soon as they're ready we get in my car and I drive us to school. After I drop Taylor off, me and Chris head to ours.

Chris tells me to wait in the car for 5 minutes before getting out so no one sees us together. I sigh and get out after waiting for a reasonable amount of time before leaving my car, but as I open the door it hits somebody and they fall on the ground. I quickly get out of the car and pick up the girls books as she dusts herself off.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry. I didn't see you through my tainted windows." I apologise and look up into the most beautiful,welcoming, warm chocolate brown eyes I've ever seen in my life.

"It's okay, I'm just a naturally clumsy person in general. If you didn't hit me with your car door, I probably would have tripped over thin air." The girl jokes and I chuckle.

"Yeah, it was pretty funny if I'm being honest. I'm Lauren" I smile, introducing myself to her. She returns my smile and I feel butterflies flitter in my stomach. Oh shit.

"You're not wrong though, it was just a bit funny. I'm Camila" she says. 'A beautiful name for a beautiful girl' I thought, though I must have said it out loud because she blushes and looks down shyly.

DING!!!!

The bell sounds and look to Camila. "What class do you have after home room?" I ask her, hoping we have our classes nearby so I can spend more time with her.

"I actually have a double spare after home room. Well I should get going, don't wanna be late"

"Oh cool me too. Well I'll see you after home room?" I say with a mix of excitement and nervousness in the tone of my voice. I said that a lot more confidently than I feel, I really hope she didn't pick up on my anxious body language.

"Yeah, sure. Do you need me to show you around the school?" Camila asks and I don't really want to turn her down.

"Um I know my way around the main building, but could you show me around the creative arts building? I haven't had a class there yet and would like to know where I'm going." I explain as well as ask. It's not a total lie, Normani only showed me where the library was on the wing of that building.

"Sure, I'll meet you outside of room 24." She states and walks toward her home room.

Man what is it with school and it's extremely hot girls. I mean, I've been here what 2 days? And I've already made friends with two of the most gorgeous girls I've ever seen in my life.

Fair warning: I do publish the chapters, but sometimes I go back to change and edit it. So yeah, I'll try not to but you might want to check the chapter you read over it a couple of times to make sure I haven't changed anything.
