Lauren's POVI'm sitting in my home room waiting for the bell to ring so I can meet up with Camila and all of a sudden I feel something hit my head.
It's a fucking paper plane.
Typical
I open the plane and there's a signature on it. I recognise it immediately and my eyes start roaming the class room for the tiny Latina who threw it at me. As my eyes are scanning the room, I notice an open window on the far side and the top of someone's head. Found her.
The bell rings and I shoot up out of my seat so fast that it could give someone whiplash. I pack up my things and run out of the classroom and spot the short blonde leaning on some random lockers.
"ALLY!!!"
"LAUREN!!!"
We yell at the same time as meet halfway down the hallway and catch each other in a tight, long overdue embrace. We're standing in the middle of the hallway for a good 5 minutes before Ally pulls away slowly and reluctantly, almost like I'll disappear if she lets me go. We then stand there in complete silence for a moment, just taking in each others presence as if it the last time we'll ever experience it again. I decided to speak up before it for awkward.
"So Allycat, how long have you been in Miami for? I haven't seen you since... Well ya know.. " I ask carefully, knowing what had happened was as tough on her as it was me. Well it was harder for her when I um....yeah, she was my only source of support in L.A.
"Yeah well, I missed my cousin and I wanted to check in on her. Y'know make sure she didn't fall through and come crawling back to me in L.A." She says in a joking manner and I roll my eyes.
"Ha. Ha. You're so funny" I said sarcastically with an eye roll to make it clear that I didn't mean a word I had just said.
"I know. But the real reason I'm here is because I'm transferring back to Miami high!" Ally reveals and I squeal in excitement.
See I moved in with Ally when I was in L.A. I asked to move in with her because she was always there for me and didn't live that far away from the reason I was there in the first place. Ally was always lonely because my Auntie and Uncle were always working and never had time for her, so the house was basically a dead zone. She must have had it with them because she told me she's moving in with my family.
Me and Ally spent half of my double spare talking and catching up, before she had to leave since she technically wasn't a student yet. I was walking Allycat to the front of the school when we passed room 24 and my eyes went wide.
Camila.
Shit I completely forgot I was meeting her because I was so excited to see my cousin for the first time in years. Ally seemed to notice my contorted facial expression and furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
"Hey Lo, are you okay?" She asked me worriedly. I sighed, I knew she was gonna feel guilty about distracting me but I can't lie because she'll think I don't trust her as much as I used to. Oh yeah, and the fact that she can detect a lie leaving my mouth before I even get one word out.
"I'm fine Allycat. I just forgot about meeting someone because I was so excited to see you after 2 years" I explained with a guilty facial expression and a saddened voice.
"Oh" was all Ally said, with no emotion whatsoever. She also had a guilty expression on her face too.
"Hey Al, don't feel guilty okay? It's my fault anyway" I said shrugging it off like it was no big deal. "I'll just tell her I wasn't feeling well. She'll believe it because I haven't spoken to anyone but you and her today anyway, and I just met her so she won't be able to tell if I'm lying" I explain to Ally trying to make her feel better about the whole situation.
"Uh Lo? I hate to kick a girl while she's down, but do you know her? Ally asked me.
I turn around and I see a tall girl with gorgeous tan skin and long silky legs. She has wavy, dirty blonde hair that cascades down her shoulders and stops just before the small of her back.
Behind her I see the beautiful brunette with gorgeous brown eyes that I've been thinking about ever since I first saw them a few hours ago.
As they approach me I can see they're facial expressions clearly now. The tall girls face is tinted red with anger and her eyes are squinted and crinkled at the corners, a clear indication that she's glaring at me. While Camila just looks hurt, she's also wearing a frown with a small pout. I look down and I notice that the knees of her jeans are died red with blood.
This isn't gonna end well.
