Dinah's POV"SUSPENDED!? FOR WHAT?!" I yelled at the principle.
"Let's see. First off, ripping off a locked door which counts as vandalism. Second, tackling Austin Mahone in a non athletic setting. And third for threatening to..." He stops to check the report the teacher in the hall wrote. "Uhm... physically disable him permanently." He says trying to describe how I threatened them and I chuckle.
"All I did was tell him I'll cut his 1 inch-"
"Thank you Miss Hansen. I get the picture" he cuts me off before I can finish reciting my poetic genius.
"Ugh, whatever!" I muttered and get up and storming out of his office, slamming the door as I leave.
'Fuck, I'm in deep shit for this one' I thought to myself as I left the building. I'm about to start walking home when I feel something land on my forehead and trickle down my face. Ugh great! Exactly what I need right now. Just when I think my day can't get any worse it's starts spitting a light sprinkle, no scratch that it starts bucketing down rain.
Fucking fabulous

I finally made it home and as soon as I walk in the door, I receive a very long winded speech about how 'I'm the oldest, I should be the wisest' and 'you should be more responsible'. I've heard that lecture a thousand times, you'd think my parents would at least try a different tactic after the first 100 uses.
"Grounded. Two weeks. No phone. No friends and definitely NO BOYS!! Am I clear Dinah Jane?" My dad scolds while dealing out my punishment. I chuckle at the 'no boys' rule. If you only new.
"I said, AM I CLEAR Dinah Jane Milika Ilaisaane Hansen Amasio?" My dad repeats. Oh shit, full name.
"Yes, Dad" I sigh, hand him my phone and walk up the stairs to my room. Ugh, these 2 weeks are gonna be absolute hell.
I've been in my room for 15 minutes and I'm already bored out of my skull. How did old people do this everyday? I can't even go downstairs because my annoying siblings will start the teasing, I don't feel like getting in deeper shit than I already am because I hit one of them for not leaving me alone.
Just then I hear a rock hit my window and crack it. I walk over there and open my window about to scream at whoever threw it and I get a pebble thrown at my eye. I'm almost furious at this point, I look down and see Normani standing below my window. I sigh and shut window but forget to lock it, I should have expected what she did next.
I flop onto my bed and try to go to sleep to pass some time when I hear tapping on my window. I hear the tapping stop and start 5 times before it finally stops, I look over to my window and expect to see her gone but nope she's standing in the middle of my room.
"Ugh, what do you want?" I say but it comes out muffled due to my face in a pillow.
"I want to explain what happened, if you'll let me" Normani said timidly, I sigh and sit up on my bed. She takes it as I sign to continue and starts again.
"I was just helping Lauren find her way around the school because she was new. She's different from the last new kid, She was actually really nice and we became friends. That's it. Nothing else happened." She explains.
I didn't realise the girl she was talking Lauren. I sigh, nod my head and open my arms. Normani crawls into them without a second thought. We lay there in comfortable silence with her head on my chest and her arms around my waste. One of my arms around her shoulder while my other hand is playing with her hair, our legs intertwined.
"So your not mad anymore?" She asked hesitantly and I shake my head.
"No, I'm not. Since you've been faking sick all week, you wouldn't know this but-" Normani cut me off.
"I wasn't faking all week, just after you got mad. But now that you're not, I'll be there tomorrow"
"Whatever, let me finish my story. Anyway, Mila came into home room late with her knees bleeding through her jeans. I interrogated her until she told me who did it and when she said the new kid hit her with a car door, I took off running to find Lauren and give her a poly beatdown.-"
"You didn't hurt her, did you?"
"No but--
"Wait, Lauren Camila hit with a car door?"
"Yeah But-"
"Oh"
"If you let me finish, you'd know that it was an accident, that chick stands her ground when threatened. Oh and Chancho totally likes her." I summarise so she couldn't cut me off again.
"Did Mila say that or are you just assuming like you did with Austin?"
"Hey I was right with Arse-tin, wasn't I?"
"No you weren't. Mila was only using him as a beard and he was only using her for sex, which he didn't get. So really that 'relationship' was non-existent."
"Well, she didn't tell me. But I can see it in her eyes when she looks at Lauser. And when Lauren came with me for her instead of goin' to class, I knew Laur liked Mila too. I've only known Lauren for a few days, but I can tell she loves learning. She carries her emotions in her eyes, so I knew she was as worried as I was."
"Hey! You've never said anything like that about me"
"Says you. The best complement you gave me was ' your hair kind of looks like a twisty donut' "
"IT DID THOUGH!! Wow we need to work on our complements"
"Nah. You're already my girlfriend, so I don't see why I have to complement you instead of complain about you."
"RUDE!!"
