Chapter 5: Playing Games
I didn't know where I was, how I got there, or what the hell was going on, but I did know that I had the worst headache of my life.
"Bloody hell..." I groaned, and tried to sit up, only to discover someone had bound me to a chair...with titanium chains.
Gingerly, I tried to shift into my dragon form, knowing I could break the chains with ease, but I suddenly felt exhausted, and had to rest against the chair. It was then that I noticed the chains were glowing purple.
Well, damn...energy-absorbing chains.
"Hello, Ace, finally awake I see. I trust you slept well?" a mocking voice said as I looked up to see its owner, Damian, standing in front of me.
"Hallo, mate." I said, and promptly spat fire at him before he could react. He jumped back in pure bewilderment as the flames began to climb up his arms and shirt. It was almost amusing to watch him as he cursed in surprise and began rolling on the floor. Sadly however, a few assistants had run over at the sound, and he was immediately doused with water. Despite how tired I suddenly felt, and my current situation, I chuckled.
"You! You freak! I'm sick of this, I'll just tell the commander you got hurt during capture! I'm going to blow your bloody head off you, you... dragon scum!"
I was still grinning as he pulled the gun out of his pocket and pressed it to my forehead.
"Any last words dragon scum!?" He shrieked, sounding like a child.
"Yeah, terrible service here, mate," I said, as I set fire to the chair and he jumped away in surprise. Guess he didn't think I'd attempt the same move again. Little did he know my own flames couldn't hurt me, but I think he was too surprised to notice, let alone shoot me. It was obvious the bloke wasn't very bright to have a dragon strapped to a plastic chair in the first place. The chains came off as the plastic melted away and I stood up, submerged in my own flames.
"I am the dragon from hell!" I bellowed, "Get out of the way, or perish forever in the afterlife!"
Many people were running in, but I think the appearance of a teenager covered in flames shocked them into submission. It was a little funny though, because when I roared for emphasis, the guy to Damian's right, who had just began to take out his gun, promptly dropped it and ran away shrieking. Within seconds others began to follow pursuit and boy, lemme tell ya, it was funny. Before Damian could react I'd tackled him, grabbed his gun directly from his hands, and then tucked it away safely in my pocket. Seconds later, I'd bound him in the same chains that had held me only moments ago.
"You stupid piece of dragon sh-!" he began, but I silenced him by roaring in his face and flashing my gorgeous, pearly-white fangs at him.
That shut the bloke up pretty fast.
Most of the humans were running around screaming, or trying to pull something heavy out of a backroom (probably some huge tank or gun), so I figured it was time to make my escape. I didn't want to admit it, but I was pretty fatigued after those chains had held me for so long. I couldn't shift into dragon form, but I still had my legs. I grabbed Damian's gun out of my pocket and ran past several startled guards to the nearest door. Without a moment's hesitation, I shot the lock off the door and wrenched it open... only to discover there were 3 more doors (which were all closing as an annoying voice screamed "code red; initiate code red!") and a hallway behind it. The flashy red warning lights added to the building chaos as I blasted door after door open. Roughly 10 minutes later I was feeling the after affects of throwing off swarms of guards. I'd just finished with a team of about 20 or so when I noticed a door behind them, and behind that door, I heard something that sounded like liquid honey to my ears...
