Kiko stood in front of you, blocking you from going any where. "Who was that, (Y/N)?" he asked again. "A friend." you answered. You knew he would not let you leave until you answered him. "Where were you with that friend? What were you doing with him?" he asked, sounding skeptical. "Its not really any of your business, is it?" you said, and pushed him out of the way. He grabbed your arm, not letting you leave. You pulled yourself away from him. "What are you doing Kiko?" you snapped at him. You looked into his eyes and you could see the instant regret he felt. "I'm sorry, that was wrong of me, but please hear me out." He said. "If you wanted to talk you could have just said something." you said, starting to get frustrated. "I know, I'm sorry but I panicked. Can we talk now?" he asked. You sighed. "Yes, go ahead." You sat down and began taking your shoes off. "You walked home with Haru today, but you weren't here when we got home. I assumed you were at Haru's, but then you come home with some other random guy. I -" He was cut off by Suki. "He was going to call you but I wouldn't let him because I didn't want to interrupt you and Haru." she said. " I'm allowed to have friends and live my own life without your help." you said, and headed up the stairs. You were done talking to Kiko. You could hear the twins starting the argue, so you closed your bedroom door. As you sat down on your bed your phone dinged. It was Rin, saying "hey". You texted him back saying, "hey. Did you get home safe?" You heard footsteps coming up the stairs. You put your phone away, not wanting to deal with any more misunderstandings. There was a soft knock on your door. "Come in." You said. The door opened to reveal Suki, holding a tray with rice and tea on it. She closed the door, sat on the bed, and placed the tray on your lap. "I don't know if you ate or not." She said softly. "Thank you." You said. Although Suki was usually very hyper and energetic she was also very nurturing  and gentle. You began to eat the rice when your phone dinged again. You ignored it. "Tsukiko was really worried about you. Ever since dad..." She didn't finish. "He's always been protective, and now he feels like he has to. He does it all out of love." She said. "I know. I just wish he would trust me a bit more. But I understand he's worried because he loves me." You said. There was another knock on the door, and Kiko walked in. "I'm sor-" you both tried to speak. "You have no reason to apologize. I over reacted and I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you or accused you. But I want you to know I did it because I love and care for you. I don't want to lose you." He started to tear up. You felt your eyes water. You and Suki both stood up and hugged him. "I'm scared." Kiko whispered. "I know, but everything is going to be okay now. You know dad is always here, watching over us." You said, remembering today. "No matter what we'll always be there for each other." Suki promised. "Forever." Kiko added. You felt your necklace twitch a bit. That was your father telling you he was there. That reminded you of what happened earlier when you were walking with Haru. You still needed to tell them, but this was not the right time. You pushed it out of your mind and tightened your grip before letting go. "I love you both so much." You said. "I love you too." They responded. "Let's go order pizza or something. I'll buy." They both rushed down stairs to get the phone and call. You went to get your wallet to get money, but saw your phone. Remembering Rin, you picked it up and unlocked it. "Got home fine, how about you?" He had texted. You smiled, wondering why he had asked if you were fine when he took you home himself. "Yes, you walked me home of course I'm fine. Thanks for that by the way." You replied. You put your phone in your pocket, grabbed your wallet, and headed downstairs.

Hello everyone I just wanted to thank you so much! More people are reading this and it makes me so incredibly happy I can't explain with words. I was feeling pretty sad and then I came here and I read some comments and it made me laugh and smile so I started writing some stuff and that made me even happier. I am very grateful for all your support and for encouraging me to keep writing. There's been many times I just wanted to quit but it is my dream to be a writer and I won't get there by quitting.
