You sat on a bench surrounded by the team's bags. You could easily recognize which one belonged to whom, either by the colour, decoration, or the contents. Suki sat beside you humming quietly to herself gently bobbing her head to the tune she was creating. She was so casual, acting like nothing had happened. You couldn't stop thinking about it. It meant Haru obviously cared about you. He argued for you, and the way he looked at you put butterflies in your stomach again. You couldn't stop yourself from thinking about what any of his actions meant and what would become of them. "Whatcha thinking about?" Suki asked. You shrugged and replied, "Nothing." You didn't feel like sharing those thoughts right now.

You tuned out your sister's humming and let your mind wander. Of course you were thinking about Haru still but you somehow got to thinking about Rin as well. You were so caught up in the boys arguing that you completely forgot about him. You scanned the room carefully searching for maroon coloured hair. You found him easily and saw he was walking in your direction. Kou was with him and you felt a pang of guilt as you remembered that she was missing from your group.

You ran your hand through your hair, ripping through some tangles. You felt a bit nervous with Rin heading this way. You were beginning to mentally prepare yourself for the upcoming interaction when Suki pointed and loudly said, "Hey look! It's Kou." The team looked over to where she was pointing and once again tension arose. "And shes with Rin." Nagisa stated the obvious. You knew Haru and Rin were rivals in a sense, and that he used to be on a team with Haru, Makoto, and Nagisa when they were kids. Rin now stood a few feet away, his eyes locked with Haru's.

As if the current situation was not already tense enough and Kiko has not caused enough trouble, he turned around to see who everyone was talking about. His eyes widen in surprise, then his face contorted into a disgruntled look. "You're the guy that was with (Y/N)!" A small wave of gasps sounded from the team, including Suki. You chose to keep your eyes glued forward and not observe their reactions further.

"Yeah, and who are you?" Rin questioned. He crossed his arms and puffed out his chest. You nearly groaned out loud. That was going to set Kiko off. "I'm Kiko, her brother." He said in a displeased tone. You noticed Rin's shoulders sink a bit and his chest lower which made him appear less aggressive. He was taller than Kiko, and much more muscular compared to the wiry build of your brother. However the clear size difference did not stop Kiko from being an over protective jerk once again. "Well Rin, how do you know (Y/N)?" He asked.

You had learnt your lesson to not let Kiko talk too much. You cleared your throat to ensure you wouldn't choke like last time, and stood up. "Rin is my friend." You said simply as you stepped over the team's luggage. Rin's face lit up as soon he saw you and he smiled a pointy toothed smile. You returned the smile and said, "This is my younger brother Tsukiko, and his twin sister Satsuki." You gestured behind you at the bench with your sister on it. She gave Rin a wave. You turned to Kiko now. "Rin and I met on a walk, and he very kindly walked me home. If anything you should thank him for keeping me safe."
"Shouldn't just meet people on the street." Kiko muttered. This ticked you off.
"Rather meet someone nice like Rin than meet an asshole like you."  You snapped.
"You wouldn't be meeting assholes if you weren't just befriending random guys." He retorted.

Deciding to be the bigger person and not cause another scene in front of everyone, you ignored him and turned to Kou. "You should probably give the team a pep talk or whatever," You realized you didn't quite know what a manager for a swim team does. "Suki and I had them stretch already." Rei made a comment about being plenty stretched by now. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Rin looking at Kiko, and him being pouty. It made your anger resurface. Why was he always like this, never letting you talk to people? You had met the most amazing friends and Kiko was being an ass about all of it.
