Chapter 7 : The Second First Meeting

3 months later...

It was 8:15 in the morning when Sarah's flight arrived Manila. Her return was top of the news, so people and reporters crowded the airport as she entered Manila Airport. She didn't answer any of the reporters' questions since she'll be entertaining them on her press conference later in the afternoon. The security staffs were around her, with Billy on her side so that nobody could approach them. It was crowded but they've managed to get in the prepared car for them. 

They went straight to the hotel where the press conference would be held and Billy checked her in one of the suites so she could rest before her press conference. 

"You rest and relax, I'll call you two hours before your press conference so you could get ready. Then I'll go here after an hour so I could brief you on the possible questions that would be asked." Billy instructed.

"Thanks Billy." She smiled and he waved goodbye.

Sh lie down my bed and tried to sleep, but she couldn't. So she decided to open the television and watch TV instead. She browsed the channels and didn't find anything interesting so she decided to settle in the local channel instead. 

It was a morning talk show, hosted by Nikki Gil. The guest looked familiar so she turned up the volume. 

"Welcome back to Morning Good Vibes, and we're here with of course the one and only Gerald Anderson.. Good morning Gerald."

"Good morning Nikki. Good morning everyone." He greeted everyone seriously.

"It has been a year since you entered the biz, happy anniversary by the way." Gerald said thank you. "So what are changes in your life since the start?"

Gerald  "There's been a lot actually, from my simple lifestyle, I've become one of the people that the media watch out for, so I'm more careful with the things I do. Also, I've been continuously exploring my talents in the industry. Minsan nga, I surprise myself that I know how to do such things." He smiled timidly.

"So mostly the change are good?" Nikki pried.

"Actually, being in showbizness has its perks but there are also disadvantages that makes me miss my old normal life."

Nikki nodded then asked him. "It's been in the news that Philippines' princess Sarah Geronimo is back. What can you say about it, especially that she's responsible for your fame. If she wasn't a damsel in distress back then, you wouldn't be here today."

"Ah, yeah, I'm thankful at the same time I despise her." He smirked.

"Excuse me? Despise me?" Sarah reacted to herself while watching. "So he's my savior. He's cute but he's can be too cocky!" she said  

Nikki laughed. "Why do you despise her?"

"Well, because of her, I got stuck in this dirty world of showbizness." He said in a serious voice but smiled timidly afterwards. "No, I'm only kidding. I'm thankful to her." 

"Are you planning on seeing her?" Nikki asked.

"Why? So she can personally thank me?" He smirked before answering seriously. "I guess if our schedule permits, why not?"

"Oh, so if you get a chance to work with you, you'll be accepting it?"

"Why not? But I have to warn her, she might fall in love with me. Especially that they say, there's something called savior syndrome." He smirked. "Just kidding."

Sarah got annoyed with his "savior" and turned off the television. She just decided to go outside and chill at the restaurant downstairs. "Kapal lang ng mukha. Arggh!"
