Wild Moonlight

Welcome Back to Hogwarts

Without Remus I felt lonely. James and Sirius invited me to ride in the carriage with them, but Remus invited Alynna, and I didn't exactly want to see them have a snogfest. They all got into one carriage whilst Me, Lily, Alice, Eliza, and Chrystal got into the next. For most of the ride the girls talked about their summers, and I stared at the Thestrals pulling the carriage. I regretted the one time I looked up because that was when I saw Remus and Alynna sucking each others faces off. I felt a sting in my chest and looked back down before anyone could notice. 

When I got to the great hall I sat in my usual spot in the middle of the table and put on my poker face for my best friends. Within the next minute James and Remus were sitting on each side of me. Next to James was Sirius, and to my luck (hint: SARCASM!!!) next to Remus was Alynna.

"Oh my Godric!" I yelled catching everyone's attention. Alynna tensed up, but calmed back down when I spoke up again. "It's been fifteen minutes since we got back to Hogwarts and Jamesie hasn't called Lily Lily-Pad or even asked her out!" I exclaimed, earning gasps from around the Gryffindor table. Finally Alynna went back to the Ravenclaw table when Professor Mcgonagall brought in the new first years.

Once all of the first years were sorted James shout up and ran over to Lily. "My gorgeous Lily-Pad!" He yelled.

"No." She said bluntly. 

"You don't even know what I was going to say." He pouted.

"You were going to ask me out again." She said in a know-it-all tone. James looked at her for a moment then sulked away.

"Am I that predictable?"  He asked sitting down.

"A bit... Plus everyone heard me talk about how you hadn't asked her out yet."  I replied patting his back. Then I started piling random food on my plate when I got an idea. I shot up from my seat running over to where the girls were sitting. "Ello my beautiful Lily-Pad. " I said in my best James Potter voice. "You, me,Hogsmeade trip, I won't take no for an answer." I said cockily (and loudly). Then I got in her ear and whispered, "Just go along with it." 

"Okay. I'll go with you. It's a date." She smiled trying to hold back her laugh. Everyone looked shocked out of their minds. I smirked and walked back to my seat. Sirius high fived me, and James just stared at me in shock.

"Ha! Even I get more girls than James, AND I LIKE GUYS!" I yelled, and the entire great hall erupted in laughter. "Okay. In all seriousness... No pun intended... What plans for pranks do we have?" I asked them as the laughter calmed down.

"We were going to wait to tell you until we can talk to Gideon, Fabian, and Peeves." Sirius whispered. I nodded and took a giant spoonful of Macaroni and shoved it into my mouth.

"slow down or you'll choke." Remus warned me. In spite of his words I took an even bigger spoonful and ate it. "Mariah Lee Bane! Slow down!" He said in a stern, slightly raised voice. A bit scared I finished chewing, swallowed, and took a sip of my pumpkin juice.

"Fine." I said sourly, not even looking at him.

"Welcome back to Hogwarts." Sirius laughed.
