Here's to the Beginning of Christmas Break

        "Remus! Tell Me! Please?" I bugged him trying to figure out what he was getting me for Christmas.

        "I'm not telling you Marlee. You will have to find out on Christmas day." He said sternly

        "But... But"

        "No Buts Mariah. Christmas is only three days away. You will have to wait until then." 

        "Fine." I sighed. I knew he wasn't going to tell me, every year I try bugging him into telling me, but he has Sirius and James as friends... therefore he had a ton of patience. I put on my best pout and puppy face that he can't resist.

        "Mar that's not fair!" he whined. "You know it's a surprise, and pouting isn't going to change that. Now eat your peppermint stick, and quiet down." He said looking down into his book.

        "D-did Remus just tell Marlee No?" Sirius asked James in shock.

        "He said no to the Pouty face!" James said. I looked at James with hope-filled eyes that asked him to tell me, but he just shook his head and said, "I have no clue what it is either Mar. He hasn't told me what he was getting you since i told you when we were nine." He shrugged.

        "Mariah... why don't you just wait until Christmas?" Peter asked, as Lily walked into the compartment.

        "Everybody knows Mariah Lee Bane has no Patience." Lily said chuckling a bit. "Mar, Sev wants to know if you want to sit with us for a bit... Plus i kind of need to talk to you..." 

        "Yea sure." I said. I got up out of my seat and walked out of the compartment. "What's up?" 

        "Well... Umm... I uh... I think I might kind of like James." She whispered looking around to make sure nobody else would hear her. "It's just back during the whole blow out with Alynna i realized that... well he wasn't as jerkish as i first thought he was... he actually seemed really caring, and well... I when I got to see this side of him..." 

        "I get what you're saying. Jamie is like that... I've known that boy since we were like three i think. He promised my dad he would take care of me, and he kept his word. That's what is good about him, he protects what he cares about and he always keeps his word." I said.

        "The bad thing is that he has bullied Sev. Sev is my best friend. He was there when Petunia called me a freak, and on my first day, and he is still my friend even though were in opposite houses. I just feel like i would be letting him down." She explained.

        "Well all I can say is talk to Sev about it. I mean I'm friends with people in every house. I'm just a people person." I smailed.

        "No you're a pure blood. Slytherins like that. I'm a-" 

        "Don't you dare say that. Sev isn't a pure blood is he?" 

        "No, but not many people know that." 

        "Listen to me. I've been to many of those Pure blood parties. Most of the people there are those of really high status, and its mainly a bunch of adults bragging about how much money they have."  I said. "Plus if Sev left you because you liked someone who has been chasing after you since first year then i'll kick his bum. Even if Sev does hate his guts... Just start as friends with James and go from there."

        Before the conversation went on any longer i could feel the train come to a stop.  Here's to the beginning of Christmas break I thought to myself grabbing my bags, and heading off the train to find James's parents.
