Two.

My mom and I drive down our street, making our way back to our house after hours of shopping. We have tons of bags of clothes in the back seat and my fingernails and toenails are freshly painted white. Mom says I can't paint them black like I originally wanted to because black is not 'in season'.

We start to drive past the new neighbor's house when my mom suddenly slams on the breaks, sending me flying forward. My seatbelt catches me and brings me back to the seat but the shopping bags in the back seat weren't as lucky. I scramble to pick up the fallen clothes in the back and my mom brings the car in to park outside of the new neighbor's mailbox.

"Let's go meet our new neighbors!" Mom squeals and claps.

I roll my eyes.

"Mom it's almost six. They're probably eating" I scramble for an excuse. I don't really feel like seeing that boy again. Especially after he saw me with me top off.

"Who cares? I want to meet them."

"You are such a narcissist." I sigh and give up on trying to put the fallen clothes back in their bags.

"Let's go!"

"You go."

Mom finally climbs out of the car but just as I think she's going to go up to the door alone, she swings open the passenger door and drags me out of the car. I release my seatbelt so I don't get sliced by the cloth and stumble after my mother. Still holding my wrist, she rings the doorbell to the large brick house. The porch light turns on and a woman with dark brown hair holding a baby opens the door. In the background I hear screaming girls and doors slamming.

The woman smiles at us and rocks the baby in her arms.

"HI! We are your neighbors," Mom motions to our house next to theirs "And he wanted to introduce ourselves. My name is Angel, and this is my daughter Adrianne."

"Addie" I wave from beside my mom.

"My husband is on business, he's a lawyer, but he will be back in five days" Mom holds up five fingers as if the woman doesn't know how much five is.

"My name is Johannah, but you can call me Jay, this is Ernest," Jay motions to the baby in her arms. She has a very strong British accent. "Please come inside and you can meet the rest of the family" Jay says.

Mom eagerly walks inside to the semi-stranger's house and I reluctantly follow after her. Jay walks us to their living room which is piled high with boxes, but there are three couches all in a U shape. Mom and I sit on one, and Jay hands mom Ernest. She must have seen the longing in my mom's eyes to hold the baby. Mom grins and starts rocking the baby back and forth.

"Everybody come to the living room now please!" Jay calls. I wish she would talk more. I love her accent.

What if the boy I saw has an accent too? I swat at my stomach trying to kill the butterflies that are suddenly appearing. I can't seriously start to like him, I barely know him. He could be a complete ass. But how could someone who covers their eyes when they see you half naked be an ass? He has a nice ass.

Stop it.

One by one, different family members pile in to the living room. The twin girls I saw sit on the floor, a man with another baby sits on the couch behind them, two more teenage looking girls sit on the couch next to us, and Jay gets Ernest from my mom and sits on the couch next to the teenage girls. There is no sign of the boy. Maybe he was just a mover.

"Okay," Jay starts. "Those two twins on the floor are Daisy and Phoebe. The one in overalls is Daisy and the one wearing the dress is Phoebe. Behind them is Dan my fiancé, and next to me is Fizzy and Lottie. Lottie is the one with the big eyes."

"Mum!" Lottie complains.

Jay laughs. I guess they all have British accents seeing as they all said 'hello' after Jay introduced them in one.

"Mum you're forgetting someone" Phoebe says.

"Oh right, Louis!" Jay calls.

"I'm on the phone mum!" I'm guessing Louis says from upstairs. Was he the boy I saw this morning?

"Well get off the phone! Our new neighbors are here to meet us!" Jay yells.

Doris starts crying in Dan's arms and he quickly gets up and takes her in to the other room. Soon after, Ernest starts crying and Jay gets up to take her to the other room. Sensing the leftover children's uncomfortableness, I tell them they can go if they want to.

They all sigh in relief and Jay pops her head out from the kitchen.

"Angel! You must come taste these brownies we were given!" She says.

Mom gets up and walks in to the kitchen, and I start to get up to follow her but she puts her hand up.

"You stay and meet Louis" She says.

I open my mouth to object but she waves me away. I can't meet Louis alone; I will probably end up burping or something. I pull my phone out from my pocket and text Morgan, who I know won't text back. She's probably surfing the clear blue waves or something. I quickly text her my current situation then close out of the texting app and log on to Tumblr. It is always dangerous going on Tumblr in public, you never know if a random dick is going to jump out at you.

When I notice a figure brushing past me I look up from my phone and see the boy I saw earlier sitting on the couch across from me. I quickly lock my phone and push it in my pocket and shift awkwardly in my seat. Louis rests his right ankle on his left knee, still wearing the same outfit from earlier today and spreads his arms up on the back of the couch.

"I'm Louis" He says, again, in a British accent.

"I'm Addie."

"Is that your real name?"

"No."

"What is it?"

"Adrianne" I'm surprised how easy this conversation is coming along.

"You have a pretty name, Addie" Louis moves from his couch to mine and I scoot away from him so we aren't so close together. I turn to face him on the couch and he is already looking at me.

"Where did you move from?" I ask.

"England."

"Well obviously. I mean what part of England."

"Doncaster in South Yorkshire" Louis answers.

I love his accent. I could sit here all day and listen to it.

"Addie you can go home now if you want to" Mom says from inside the kitchen.

"Okay" I call back and stand up to leave. I don't think I can stand making more awkward conversation with a boy who saw me half naked.

Louis stands up alongside me. I try to ignore the fact that he's following me, I just figure he is walking me to the door like a normal person.

Louis opens the front door for me and I thank him then walk out of the house and down the driveway. When I hear footsteps behind me I turn around and come face-to-face with Louis.

Louis cups my face with his hand and wraps his other hand around my waist and brings me close to him, then rests his soft lips on mine. I stand still in his driveway, startled. Eventually, Louis pulls away.

"Bye Addie." He says and runs back inside his house without another word.

I press my hand to my forehead, still in shock and begin to slowly walk back to my house. Why did he kiss me? He barely knows me! My stomach feels fuzzy and my lips are buzzing. My heart feels like it is about to beat right out of my chest. I am having all but one of the symptoms of liking another person.

When I open the front door, I fall down due to the last symptom, weak knees.
