Thirty-Three.
“Addie, look out!” Louis yells as I unknowingly walk straight into an open door, not paying attention. Normally, I would only have a headache for a few hours after walking into something, but this door just so happened to swing in my direction as I walked into it, and hit me hard in the head.
I stumble backwards into a leather chair I was assumed pulled up to me, and close my eyes, trying to relieve the pain.
When I open my eyes again I’m not in the stadium, I’m on a plane.
I jolt up out of my seat and look around; trying to figure out what the hell I’m doing here. I have my hand for the flight attendant to come over, and when she immediately sees me I sigh out some of the stress and thoughts bottled up in my brain.
“Where is this plane going, again?” I ask.
The attendant smiles, “Doncaster, England.”
I furrow my eyebrows. “What is the date?”
“April the second.”
April the second is when I was supposed to set off to see Louis for the first time in months. Was everything just a dream?
I look around me and the familiarities fall back into place. I noticed the sweaty guy sitting next to me and the child kicking the back of my seat as I rode off to England. Meeting Louis earlier was all just a dream.
I touch my head. No wounds from running into a door. That must have been what woke me up. Everything is as it should be, besides Louis at my side.

When I get to the airport, I see Liam’s friendly face there to greet me just like in the dream. I wonder if everything will go as it did in the dream too. Liam takes the small duffel bag in my hands and I continue rolling my suitcase along the tile. I tell him about my dream as we walk and he shakes his head, laughing.
“That must have been a dream; you didn’t have sex in the first twenty-four hours you were with each other” He grins.
I feel my cheeks becoming red and I look down at the ground until they’ve gotten back to their normal color.
“There was a slight hiccup in our plan; Louis is working all night tonight so you won’t be able to see him. His house is a pigsty so you will have to stay at mine” Liam says and pushes on the glass airport doors.
When we get to Liam’s house, it is almost ten at night. He shows me the guest room, and leaves me to get ready. I still can’t believe everything was a dream, but I guess it does make sense. Everything went perfectly, and the jet-lag didn’t get to me at all. As I start to fall asleep now, I wonder if I will have another dream of meeting Louis, or it will be the real thing.
I am woken up the next day by Liam sitting on my bed and gently nudging me awake. I open my eyes and am relieved to find that I am in the same spot as yesterday.
