Chapter 6

Two days have passed since the start of their mission. So far, there weren't any ninja they've come across who had the intent on harming the princess, for she could be kidnapped into using her jutsu against her will. Looking at the back of her head, Naruto sighed. He had wanted to talk to Sakura more, other than about what's been going on in the village. Naruto had loved Sakura since the Academy, and still does. He just wanted to be noticed by her.

"Ok, rest stop guys!" Sakura said, placing her hands on her hips.

"Finally, we've been walking forever!" Naruto complained.

"Shut it, Naruto. You should be honored to escort a princess anywhere," she retorted.

"But Sakuraaaaa," whined Naruto.

The pink glared at him, which made him shut up instantly.

The princess looked warmly at the ninja. So that's the famous Naruto Uzumaki, she thought. Though completely opposite from Hinata, Kotone thought they'd be perfect for eachother.

As Naruto and Sakura were preparing the tents, he felt a presence behind him.

"My, you are just as she described you," her voice still having an effect on him.

He stared dumbfounded at her, before shaking his head. "Um, who described me?"

"Hinata, of course," she said.

Hinata? Why would she talk about me?

"Wait, how do you know Hinata??" He asked. Kotone was a princess, while Hinata was a ninja.

"She didn't tell you?"

He shook his head, confused to what she was going on about.

"Hinata's my cousin," she said with a smile. Sakura's mouth fell open at this, but kept quiet.

"WHAT?!" H-how?" Naruto exclaimed. Hinata's related to royalty? Why didn't she tell anyone? That must be why they look alike. Wow.... was the only word in his mind. He kept looking at her with wide eyes.

"Her mother and mine are siblings," she shortly explained.

He nodded, still slightly shocked at this new information.

"Do you have the Byakugan?" Her eyes were the color of the Hyuga's, so she must have it.

"No, we just have the same eye color. I got the Voice Control jutsu instead."

"Ohhhh, so what did she say about me?" Confused as to why she would be talking about him, of all people.

"Oh not much, nothing negative though," she teasingly said, not telling him everything Hinata pointed out, though she surely wanted to see those qualities. She knew about Hinata's affection towards him, but did he?

"Hey Naruto," Sakura walked to him, not giving a chance for Kotone to ask, "there's only two tents, and the princess needs her privacy, so do you mind sharing with me?" she asked.

"Uh, won't we be taking watching shifts?" He asked, scratching his head. Sleep, with Sakura? Naruto felt a bit uneasy about that.

"That's what the princess' guards are for, now come help me put the second one up," she grabbed his hand and took him to the tent.

The princess raised an eyebrow. So he didn't know Hinata loved Naruto, since he'd be sleeping with the kunoichi. Surely nothing would happen, right? He hadn't shown any feelings any more than teammates towards Sakura.

Hours later, it was time to rest after all the talking. The princess was already asleep. For some reason, Sakura kept having the urge to glance a Naruto, which she did, and started to take in his characteristics. He was well built and tan, strong and kind, though mischievous, but had determination and was empathetic. She placed a finger on her tooth and hooked it, wondering why she was thinking these thoughts now. Was she starting to have... feelings towards the blonde? That's not it, it couldn't be, she thought. After she lied down for a bit, Naruto shook her.

"Yeah?"

Naruto's checks turned a light red before speaking. "Uhmmmmmm, why did you take me the Yakiniki Q?! You always declined me when I'd asked you out, so..." he trailed off, too embarrassed to continue. Did Sakura start to take an interest in him now?

"N-no! I didn't have anyone else to go with, so yeah," she said. Did she start to like Naruto? She dismissed the thought.

"Oh..." he tried not to frown, but he honestly wanted to hear Sakura say, I like you Naruto, and I have for a while now. Who was he kidding? Naruto wanted to ask one more thing, but decided against it, and told Sakura goodnight before sleeping, which she followed shortly after.

"Naruto," she whispered, trailing her finger up and down his arm, and propped her head against her other arm.

"Yeah baby?" Turning around, he sees Sakura's green eyes darken.

She crashed her lips onto his. God, how he loved the feeling. Naruto was so lucky that he had her. He asked for entrance, which she accepted. As their tongues slided through each other's mouths, Sakura let out a moan. She simply couldn't resist the man in front of her. She slipped her hands under his shirt and placed them on his abs. She played around his hair and Naruto unzipped her shirt. He laid her down on the bed, kissing her skin, with her legs wrapped around her waist, making her pant.

"You like that baby?" He asked huskily.

"Y...yeah, ohh...." She couldn't speak while feeling like this.

He had enough of the teasing. Naruto's lips were on her chest for a bit, then lowered it near her most sacred place. He pulled down her skirt and panties, and placed his mouth on her-

Naruto's eyes opened and saw Sakura's head on his chest. He blushed inmediatly because of that and the dream. He groaned, he felt so perverted. But he couldn't control his hormones, this was the girl he loves. Naruto gently moved to the side and sat up, changing his shirt. He didn't know that Sakura had been watching him, getting a sight of his sculpted abs.

"Naruto?"

He turned around and was lost for a while at how good she looked, even though Sakura had woken up. Her hair was disheveled and her voice was husky, it was enough to make his stomach swirling. Why couldn't she have fallen for the blonde instead of Sasuke? He would've treated Sakura better then he ever could. Sasuke was distant and never acknowledged her or her feelings, but Naruto? He was right here! Did she not see that? What did Sasuke have that he didn't?

If only Naruto knew... that Sakura kept thinking about him, though she didn't know why or wasn't sure if she liked the fact that she was.

"H-hey," He licked his lips. "good morning," he smiled warmly at her.

She sat up while Naruto told her he was going to check up on the princess. Sakura took out dried fruit from her pouch and started munching away, not wanting to think about Naruto and her thoughts any more.

While walking, Naruto had a funny feeling about the guards. Were they shinobi? If so, why were they needed? Him and Sakura can easily guard the princess on the way to the Land of Waves.

"Hey!! Are you two even ninjas?"

Sakura shook her head. "No, but we must protect Princess Kotone all the time," the one on the left of Kotone said.

"Hmph," Naruto didn't ask any further, but kept his eyes on him. He felt something wrong about them...
