Naruto let out a breath of content. It felt good getting out of the village. He did love Konoha and recently came back from a mission, but he felt like wanting more action. Naruto didn't think of this mission as an action-packed one though, more like a makeover. Hinata had to pose as a princess. Speaking of, he averted his blue eyes from the sky and looked at Hinata briefly. She was no doubt a pretty girl, but why was he having these thoughts now? Was it just because he saw her in that dress? He shook his head. Wasn't he supposed to think of Sakura? The girl he loves? This was all very confusing to him.

He turned his head back to the front when he saw her looking back at him, a slight red tint on her cheeks. Why does she always do that? He curiously thought.

"Hey Hinata! Why do you always become red? Do you have like an eternal fever or somethin'??" He asked while still looking ahead, walking.

Hinata's eyes widened, taken aback to what he had just asked, but Ino saved her from embarrassment. "She gets hot easily Naruto."

By you, Ino thought, mentally smirking.

"Do you ever pay attention?"

He stopped and turned around, puffing out his cheeks and crossing his arms. "Of course I do!"

Ino cocked an eyebrow. "Oh really?"

"Yes!" Naruto said confidently.

"Okay..." She nodded her head a few times. "So, who does Hinata like then?"

Hinata let out a small gasp. "I-Ino! Please...." Was she really going to tell him? No... she anxiously thought.

Naruto narrowed his eyes. "I'm joking! Yes, Naruto, you're very observant. Im jealous," Ino rolled her eyes and lightly laughed, but felt a tad guilty for making Hinata worry like that. Hopefully he'd get the hint though, she thought.

"Hmph. That's right!" He grinned and nodded, before continuing their walk. The sky had grown considerably dark since they left, which made Naruto frown. That meant they'd have to set up tents for the night soon. Naruto changed his mind about going on this mission. He wanted it to end quickly so he can get assigned to a real one. He squinted his eyes to try and see if they were close, but he couldn't. He guessed that they would arrive to the princess around tomorrow, or the day after at the most.

He stopped walking, not feeling at all tired, and ran his fingers through his spiky hair. He saw Ino and Hinata wiping their foreheads with the back of their hands. Naruto brought his fingers to feel if he had sweated too, and wiped it on his arm jacket when he did. It was hot, even though the sky was dark. He took out his water bottle from the backpack, drenching his face and throat with the cool liquid, a little warm from all the heat outside.

He rubbed the water from his eyes and opened them to see big blue ones in from of him. "Ah!" He stumbled back a little, not realizing the presence of his teammate.

"This is where we're staying for the night, right?" Ino inquired, while Hinata stood idly, not saying much during the walk.

"Uh, yeah! It's good for tonight," he flashed her a grin, glancing over to Hinata, who immediately looked down.
He furrowed his brows, but tried not to think too much about it.

He'll probably just ask Ino about it later, since it looked like Hinata wasn't going to open up anytime soon. Was she mad at him or something?

He took out the tents and the girls did the same. Naruto had no trouble with it and went into the forest that was near to get some wood.

"There has to be some more around here..." he muttered and knelt down to feel if there was any more when he heard a growl. he paused, waiting to hear it again. When he did, he spun around. Naruto didn't see anything and he tilted his head. Was it just my imagination? He thought, but thought too soon. The noise appeared again but more louder and he heard a faint cry, along with another voice, a jutsu being said by them.
