Sakura had her eyes on the back of Naruto's head. Why was he stuck in her head? This never happened before... she didn't want to dwell on it any longer, so she put her mind to something else.

She heard a muffled scream which brought her out of her thoughts and Naruto turned around to see the princess, one of the guards' hands over her mouth and holding her while the other was in a stance, signaling he was ready for or to attack.

"Wha.... What are you doing!?" Naruto asked, befuddled. The princess was looking at him with wide eyes. Betraying someone was something Naruto detested, as friendship and trust were important to him, and the guards' clearly broke their loyalty to the princess.

The one holding Kotone humorously chuckled. "You see, this was in our agenda all along. Kozuku and I would mask our chakra, pretending we weren't shinobi, and get you two to escort her to the village. Then we would somewhere along the way take her, which is.... right about now," he smirked.

Anger radiated off of Naruto. So much for the loyalty, it was all fake. They never were loyal to the princess, only pretending. He was quick to attack, hurling a rasengan to the one next to the princess, but he grabbed Naruto's hand and threw him to the side.

"Naruto!" Sakura glared at the two, before swiftly taking the princess out of harm's way, setting her aside. She ran back to Kozuku and jumped up, letting her leg land on top of him. Sakura brought chakra to her fist and connected it to the the other's cheek.

"Katsuo! Get the girl!" Kosuku yelled, while getting up and throwing kunai to Naruto. Katsuo ran towards Kotone to retrieve her but Sakura used her chakra scalpel to immobilize him for a bit. He fell to the floor, grunting, and she grabbed the princess, holding her bridal style.

She took her about two miles away from the fight, near a lake, telling Kotone they'd be back soon and told her everything was going to be fine. When Sakura came back, the two shinobi were gone and Naruto was on the floor.

"Naruto! Oh.." She hurried to him and began healing him. He winced. They really got to him. Naruto's chakra was really drained and had slight cuts from the kunai.

"I couldn't even get them.. am I really not that strong?" he asked weakly and tried to smile.

"Stop that, you are plenty strong Naruto, they were just...well, stronger," she meekly tried to reassure him.

He huffed in annoyance. "Wait, where is she?"

"At a lake, come on," Sakura said.

When they arrived, the princess' head was in her lap, her arms holding her legs. She didn't want to believe that her own guards, the ones she trusted completely, would betray her. She was hurt, and wiped her tears as she heard footprints, lifting her head.

"Hey, it's alright, they're gone. We'll take you back, safe and sound. Alright?" She smiled at the blonde.

"Be safe!" Kotone waved goodbye to the two.

They waved back, and started their journey home.

"Huh."

"Huh is right, who would've thought?" Sakura said to Naruto and shook her head. She was just glad the mission was over, she wanted to go home and figure out why her mind was thinking about him.

"Ahh!" Hinata squealed as Ino pushed her into the fitting room. She had given her three dresses to try on, navy blue, lavender, and black. They all were short, too short for her liking when she put the blue one on.

"I-Ino-chan?" Hinata poked her head out.

"Come on out!" Ino said and grinned when she saw the Hyuga hesitantly come out with the dress on. It fit her curves perfectly, it stopped just above the middle of her thighs. She had also tried on black heels.

"No need to try the others, because girl you look fabulous!" She laughed.

"R-really? This i-is so e-embarrasing." Her cheeks were flushed. Hinata's chest was practically spilling out! Her hands immediately flew to them to cover up.

She soon turned red all over and her eyes widened as big as saucers. Hinata couldn't believe what she was seeing! Naruto was there, and he was gawking, at her! She ran back into the fitting room, humiliated he had seen her, but that was the point wasn't it? She brought the palm of her hand to her face and sat down. She didn't think she could go through this. Hinata was completely mortified and tried her hardest not to faint, breathing in and out slowly. She prayed Naruto would go away soon.

"What's wrong?" Ino looked back and saw the blonde, and couldn't help but smile and shake her head.

"W-why was Hinata wearing that?!" Naruto exclaimed. He knew she didn't talk much and all, but he didn't know if he was really seeing her.. in that dress. He just came back from the mission with Sakura and there Hinata was. He definitely did not see this coming. She looked so good, and her curv- he shook his head.

"You'll see, even though you just did," Ino giggled.

He gulped. Naruto couldn't deny that Hinata was really pretty, most of the Konoha girls were. But he never saw any of them wearing something like that, and he didn't think he would ever see that on Hinata.

"Uhhhhhhhh...... I'll j-just go...." Naruto scurried away. Hinata slowly came out while Ino laughed her head off.

"Oh m-my goodness, h-he saw!"

"He was bound too sooner or later, and Hinata, you do look pretty hot," Ino beamed. She was astounded that Ino wore her apparel on a daily basis, it was way too revealing for Hinata.

She flushed. "T-thank you. I d-don't think this w-will go well t-though." How can she hold a conversation with Naruto at his birthday party if all she does is studder and faint?

"Oh honey, don't worry! Everything will go perfect, count on it." Ino winked and lead Hinata to pay for her dress and heels.

I hope... she thought while timidly giving the woman her money and left with Ino to finish the preparations for Naruto's big day tomorrow.
