"What do you mean the set list is messed up?" I asked as I ran from my spot on the stage to the main control room.
"Something's messed up, we can't figure out what's wrong." They said through the walkie talkie as I ran as fast as I could.
I could hear the silence from the stage, the boys trying to make something up. I pulled the other walkie talkie from my belt that talks to the band and the boys.
"Problems in the control room, you just finished Stockholm Syndrome, Little Black Dress is next, start it now."
I got inside the small room, watching our music manager scramble around. He turned to me, pure terror in his eyes. We were going to lose twenty minutes.
"The entire boards out, Ellie, I can't get it back up." He said, running a hand through his hair.
"It's fine, calm down," I said to him, examining the board. "What happened?"
"I was playing SS and it went out." He said to me.
I kneeled behind the board, finding that one small cord that was disconnected from our automatic set list booth. I plugged it back in, standing back up. The board powered back up as Ely cheered, hugging me tightly before starting to press buttons on the board.
I pulled the walkie talkie from my belt. "Board's back up, we're going an hour over tonight, three encore songs, we're throwing out water to the crowd."
"You're a live saver, Madeline." Someone said from the other side of the walkie talkie.
I smiled as I grabbed the cooler of water before rolling out on stage. I've never been in front of any crowd, I was always behind the scenes.
"Ellie, you've decided to join us!" Louis grinned at me.
"Water." I said, handing him one.
I started to throw them out to the crowd as the boys whispered to themselves.
"Madeline is our tour manager," Liam said as I started to shake my head. "There would be no tour without her."
Screams broke out across the crowd, along with clapping as a camera fixated on me. I continued shaking my head as they grinned at me.
"She's our tour mom-"
"For most of us." Harry cut him off, smirking at me.
"She keeps us in line but always makes sure we have fun," Niall smiles. "The tour would be a hot mess without her, thank you so much, El!"
I smiled at they all engulfed me in a group hug, laughing at me. I continued to pass out waters to the crowd, throwing a couple at the boys.
"This one's for you, Madeline, thank you for everything you do, we love you," Harry said, smiling at me. "This one's Girl Almighty."
After the Show
"We're going to hang out in the hotel bar, you want to come with?" Liam asked me as we all went up to our rooms.
"I think I'm going to crash," I sighed. "Long show."
"No, no, no," Niall said, grabbing my arm to stop me from going in my room. "You're having drinks with us."
"Guys," I whined. "You've been up since eleven, I've been up since 5:30."
"Good enough reason to have a drink," Harry said, meeting my eyes. "Come on."
I sighed before reluctantly following, my shoulder brushing against Harry's. I let the boys order whatever for me as I sat on the bar stool, my hand pressed into my face as I leaned on my elbow.
Someone slid a glass in front of me as I opened my eyes and took a deep breath. I smiled tiredly at Harry before taking the shot of what I presumed to be tequila. The boys weren't even legal, but being international sensations has it's perks.
Soon, I had had a bit too many drinks and was a bit more drunk than I wanted to be. The boys were talking loudly to my right about something I didn't even want to know about while I closed my eyes, resting on my elbow.
"I'm sorry mate, but there's no way you lost your virginity when you were thirteen!" Niall said to Harry, his face turning red from laughter.
"It's true." Harry chuckled, shrugging.
"That means you must have a huge d-" Louis slapped Liam's arm, cutting him off.
Harry shook his head.
"You can't leave us hanging now, dude." Niall laughed.
"Girls can never be disappointed." I said, taking a sip of my drink.
"What?" Liam asked as Niall choked, laughing. "How do you know?"
I shrugged, raising my glass at Harry as a smile pulled at his lips.
"All right boys, I'm off to bed, drink water and get some sleep," I slurred, stumbling on my feet. "We've got like 4 shows left."
I tripped over my feet as I made my way to the door but someone's arm wrapped around me, holding me up.
"Woah, there," Harry grinned. "I got you."
***
I groaned as I rolled over, my fingers pressing into my temples. I managed to drink some water and take some pain killers before getting into a shower.
I pushed sunglasses up my nose before going to wake the boys up. I opened the door, finding them all buried underneath the blankets, besides Liam, whom I could hear singing from the shower.
Niall and Louis were the easiest to wake up while Harry, he was one the deepest sleepers I've ever met. The other boys went down for breakfast, leaving Harry and I alone.
I slid in the bed beside him, wrapping my arms around his torso, my lips pressing against his neck.
"Niall, quit it.." He mumbled, shoving me with his elbow.
I laughed against his neck, pressing kisses into his throat. "Definitely not Niall."
He quickly turned over, his eyes meeting mine. "You're definitely not Niall."
"You're right," I smiled as his lips pressed against mine. "Although I wonder why Niall was in bed with you."
"Niall's a cuddler." He chuckled, wrapping his arms around my torso, pulling me into his chest.
"As am I." I smiled as he trailed kisses from my mouth to my neck, his lips pressing behind my ear.
"I wouldn't know, you always leave before any of that can happen." He taunts, his words vibrating against my neck.
"I always have to get up early so we-"
"So we don't get caught." He mocks me.
I kiss his lips quickly before getting up. "You've got ten minutes to take a shower and eat breakfast, Lou's got hair duty in twenty."
Harry sits up, leaning on his elbows. "Jesus, woman."
"Up and at 'em, Styles" I grin, closing the door behind me.
