Goodbye, Paco.

I've started my day with happiness. The sadness has already ended. Nothing is more important that myself. Of course, sadness stays. But for the moment, I'm happy.

My best friend Paco is about to get married with his girlfriend Thalia. They are a perfect couple, in my opinion. Paco is this sweet and extroverted kind of guy. Thalia is quite outspoken and such a free spirit.

About me? I am this desolated kind of guy. I am that introverted and geeky kind of guy. Unlike Paco and Thalia, I am not into sports and I just like to read books and comics, study, and sleep.

Tonight is Paco's bachelor's party. We are at the VIP room of a strip club. I'd admit that I don't like this kind of things. The ladies are coming and they boys started to yell something sexist. I'm just sitting at this corner and Paco is seemingly enjoying everything. These ladies are now killing the poles by dancing and the guys are shouting and one of them is putting a blindfold on Paco's delectable eyes. He is smiling and one of the ladies is dancing on his lap. The guys yell again. Me, I'm just enjoying some shots of Tequila. I am already tolerant to alcohols but Paco isn't. But then, I am drinking moderately since I will bring Paco home, for sure.

I will surely miss Paco. The love my life, although he doesn't know.

I'm gay. Paco doesn't even know it. Also, I have a huge crush on him. I can still remember when he first saved me from my bullies before. I won't forget that. I felt that somebody is giving importance to people like me with him.

After the party, most of the guys are totally wasted – except me. Paco is now drunk. I pulled him up and he looked at me.

"Jake, did you enjoy the party?" he asked as we leave the with other guys.

"Yes, I did," and I smiled to him.

"Good. But you know what, I will surely miss hanging out with you. We can do it, but it might rare since I'd be married and raise a family."

"I will surely miss it too. By the way, I am glad that I am your best man."

"You are my best friend. You deserve it."

"Thanks."

Other guys are going toward their own ways. Who's left is Paco and I. I noticed that he is sober. He pulled me and pushed me underneath the tree. I am in shock and I don't know what to do. He held my handles and squeezed it.

"What are you doing?"

"Jake, how does it feel like to kiss another man?"

"Are you crazy?"

"No! Just wanna try it."

My heart skipped a beat and I closed my eyes as his face is getting nearer to mine. And then I heard a snicker – it's him, laughing.

"You are tripping on me again, dude."

"But seriously, your lips are deadly."

"Dude, you're drunk."

"No, I'm not," he protests.

"Yes, you do. We need to go back home. Thalia must be waiting for you."

"Sure."

When we reached their home, I helped him going inside and Thalia was also drunk. I can remember now that she also had her party. I laid him down the bed and took his clothes off. I can see his perfect body again, and this would be the last time. So I go downstairs and get some towel and lukewarm water to wipe his face.

He is already sleeping peacefully and I am not wiping his face anymore. I just stared at it and after that I left their home.

Several days later, the wedding has come. I can see the excitement on Paco's face. He seems to be giddy inside. We are already lining here and Thalia walks down the aisle. She is wearing a silk gown with a long trail. As she walks nearer, Paco starts shedding some tears. He is very happy, I can tell.
