Part Twenty-One

Allie's P.O.V

      I lay propped up in this uncomfortable hospitol bed. The I.V. in my arm hurt like a mother. My arm was sore from some inexperienced nurse poking at it over and over "Not finding" my vain. It's a damn vain where could it have gone? Needless to say I was pissed. The baby inside me kicked and moved. My contractions have become more constant and painful. They said it was coming soon. I looked down at my large belly. I dont even know what gender it is. I cant wait to hold it in my arms. I took a deep breath as a contraction came.  Tilting my head back and gritting my teeth. Where is the damn nurse?

     "Ally?" I hear from the door way. I look up to see my friend Gabe standing in the doorway. He and I had become close, as his sister, Rachel, is an old friend of mine.

     "Gabe! What are you doing here?" I smoothed my hair out and tried to hid the pain I'm in with a smile. He hurried in gave my hand a quick squeeze.

     "How are you? Whats the verdict? Is it almost time?" He flooded me with questions as my mind is already reeling.

     "Well, I feel like shit, I am early with this baby and I am scared out of my mind, and yes! Any minute now." I nod as I speak, attempting to keep calm. He patted my hand. Gabe had always been close to me.  

       "Well, Rach told me you were here so I thought I should come see if everything is alright since she couldnt get out of work." He explained to me. Gabe was always one to babble on and on... Really annyoing. But he could always make me laugh.

Michael's p.o.v.

      I rushed down the hall to Ally's room. It felt like the summer again when Jay hurt her. I finally saw her room number. The door was open but I couldnt move. I was so scared. Everything I did. I am so wrong. I took a deep breath, smoothed my hair, and stepping inside the door. There she is. so pale. She is talking with a guy standing at her bedside. Not a nurse. Must be a friend of hers. She is laughing. I am supposed to be there comforting her right now. How can I do this to her? But dont you see michael? She replaced You. All of a sudden she grits her teeth and throws her head back. She crys out. Starting out in a moan then going to a yell. Her heart rate spikes. I can't move. My feet are glued to the ground. I can't help her. Michael what have you done. Nurses brush past me and go to her bed. I move aside and start stumbling down the hall way. everything is spinning. I cant keep it straight. What if she dies. This is all on me this time. It always has been. Why did I just have to have her last summer? Ashton would have taken care of her if I hadnt gotten in the way. Why did I just need to kiss her? Why did I drag her out of detention that day. Just have to have her with me. Touching me. Feeling me. Her steadiness that I broke. This is all my fault. I did this. I look up and see her bed being wheeled away.

     "Ally." I hide myself in the crowd. Then I hear my name. Ally. I need you.

 Ally's P.O.V. 

     I throw my head back in pain. Gabe backs away from me to let the nurses wheel my bed out.

     "It's time now, Ally." One nurses calm voice soothes me as I groan in pain. My eyes are tightly shut. Then I hear it.

     "Ally. " It's an austrailian. I open my eyes. Hoping to see Luke or Ashton or Calum. I dont see anyone. Just a few people. Then I see a flash of black and red hair.

     "Michael?" I call out.

     "Shes delirious. We need to get her in now!" The nurse yells. I am wheeled into a room. It begins.
