Forever and Always. Second Edition to The We Are Family Series(Completed)

Part Twenty-seven

"Ally, you okay? You have been staring at your phone for the past five minutes." Ashton says, looking over at me. I shake my head and shove my phone into my pocket.

     "Sorry Ash... I just have a lot on my mind." I sigh and cross my legs on the couch. It was about 9:30 p.m, Luke, Calum, and Jenn had left for the night and the girls are sleeping peacfully. Ashton smiled at me and scooted closer on the couch to me. He poked my side playfully.

     "Tell your boy friend Ashton about it." He smiles playfully and rests a hand on my upper thigh. Not in a sleezy way but a comforting way. The thought of Ashton being my boyfriend made me so happy, but so damn unsure. I take a deep breath and let it out slowly.

     "Well, today, as you know, Luke asked me to be band manager since I'm good at stuff like that you know?" Ashton nodded and I continued on.

     "But I'm just really worried Ash. I mean, it would be amazing to travle with you guys and help out, you are all my family, but there are so many other problems in the equation." I rest my head in my hands, rubbing my temples slightly.

     "Go on babe." He says, pulling my into his lap. I stratddle him with my legs resting on either side of him. We look directly into eachothers eyes.

     "Well... What do I do about the girls? I would be gone for six months. And what if something goes wrong with them? And... Michael... I would see him every day. I just don't know what to do anymore. But I want to go... I'm just so scared." I started crying. I leaned forward and let my head rest against his chest. His arms went around my waist and his hands rubbed my back, calming me.

     "Shhh Ally. It's alright. I'm here for you through this. And so is Jenn and Luke of course and Calum... And when we go on tour, I'll always be there. You won't have to be nervous around Michael... I got you Ally." His words comforted me somewhat. Just enough for me to stop crying. No one was ever able to calm me like Michael could. But Michael was my past. And right now, Ashton is my future. 

     "Ally, why don't we get some rest?" Ashton whispers into my hair. I nod slowly. Without a warning he scoops me up and carries me off to me room.

     "Ash!" I laugh when he snuggles up to me. My laughs turn to giggles at Ashton's tickling of my sides. Eventually WE fade out, becoming more and more tired. My eyes droop shut.

     "Ally. The door bells ringing." Ashton mumbled. I checked the clock. 12 a.m.? I stumble out of bed and shuffle to the door.

     "Who the fuck is it." I grumble. I swing open the door to see Michael. I give him a look to kill.

     "what the fuck do you want? It's 12 a.m. I don't want you here." I am about to slam the door but his black converse blocks the way.

     "You and Ashton are back together?" He asks, walking past me and sitting down in the living room. I was surprised. I didn't smell any alcohal on him at all. He was sober.
