Part Twenty-Eight

     "Cal, Luke, and Jenn are here Ally!" Ashton called from the living room of my apartment. I slipped on a pair of jeans, a teeshirt, and threw my hair back in a bun. Not bothering to apply any makeup I stroll out into the living room.

     Jenn and Calum are each holding a baby. I hug Luke and peck Calum on the cheek and side hug jenn so I don't sqush Ellie. I take Ellie gently from Jenn and sit down on the couch next to Luke who puts his arm around my shoulders. Jen snuggles up to the other side of him. Calum gets comfortable with Haley in a big arm chair.

     "Aww Cal, you're a natural with her!" Ashton says, smiling. Haley plays with Calum's shirt slightly, making baby sounds. He sticks his tongue out playfully to her and she laughs. We all crack up at this.

     I rock Ellie back and forth slightly. I look down at her and my own brown eyes stare back up at me. I smile downn at her/ She reaches up and brushes against my chestnut colored hair. I kiss her forehead gently.

     "Hi baby." Luke leans over to look at her.

     "This is Uncle Luke, Ellie." I say smiling at her. She laughs and looks at Luke.

     "See, even she thinks ur hair is weird." Calum says from across the room, making us all laugh.

     "Yeah, yeah. Very funny guys. But it takes talent to get it like this." He says, pointing at his hairdo. 

     "Thats my punk rock boy friend." Jenn says, kissing him.

     "Yo, no PDA." I say laughing. Luke just rolls his eyes.

     "Guys! Say hi to the KEEK." Ashton says.

     "Oh god you keeked the kiss?!" Calum says, making a disgusted face which was the last thing the camera saw. We all start laughing all over again. Ashton comes and sits next to me staring down at Ellie.

    "Hi there." He smiles and tickles her belly gently. Suddenly the door bell rings breaking all our laughter.

     "Are you expecting some one?" Jenn asks me, while getting up to get the door.

     "No." I answer not really thinking. Then it hits me.

     "Wait Yes!" I call out. But its too late, the door is swung open to reveal Michael. Luke and Ashton immediatly tense up. Jenn doesn't budge from her spot in the middle of the door way. Michael immidatly makes eye contact with me, but looks away again.

     "Hey Mike." Calum is the first to speak out of all of us, being Michael's best mate and all. Michael gives a little wave. Jenn still hasn't moved aside to let him in.

     "Why are you here?" Jenn asks coldly. Michael looks like he could just die on the spot.

     "I- Uhh..." He stumbled over his words.

     "I invited him." I say, straight out. Every one looks at me like I had just told them I want to grow up and be a unicorn.

     "You what?" Luke and Ashton asked at the same time.

     "I said I invited him. Come on in Michael." I say, mustering a slight smile trying not to be hurt feeling again. Jenn finally moves aside and Michael walks in slowly. He stands there so awkwardly that it looks like he may fall over. 

     "Sit down." I say to him. he nods and sits om the edge of the couch as far away from us as possible. I let out a deep sigh. He runs his fingers through his black and red hair, pulling his fringe down over his forehead. Luke and Jenn just stare at him and Ashton has his arm protectivly around my waist as we sit near eachother. Calum gives Michael a smile to calm him and Michael relaxes a little.
