I ran my hand over my dress to straighten it out in the mirror of the master bathroom, in the house I shared with my fiancé, Shane McMahon , I was super nervous because today we aren't just going out on a date I am going to meet Shane's three boys Declan, Kenyon and Rogan, Shane is going to pick them up because his ex Marissa doesn't like me because of me and Shane's age gap and the fact that we were together when the divorce was still happening, I had gotten lost in thought when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist
"You look cute tonight, baby girl" he said as he placed his chin on my shoulder, I smiled back at him and then sighed, which of course he noticed "What's wrong?" he asked
"I'm nervous about meeting the boys" I admitted to him
"Aww honey, it'll be ok they'll love you" he smiled at me, I nodded unsure "Come on lets go meet the boys" he said and I looked at him with wide eyes
"They're here?" I asked to which he nodded before grabbing my hand and leading me downstairs, where I was met with the soft eyes of three little boys
"Boys, I'd like you to meet your new stepmom" Shane said as the boys stood up from sitting on the floor, then the oldest one I recognized as Declan stepped forward and Shane put his hand in the small of my back nudging me forward, toward the little boy, he was about to say something until the youngest Kenyon lunged forward wrapping my legs into a hug almost tipping me over if Shane hadn't placed his hands on my waist and balanced me out, when Kenyon finally let go he looked up at me
"Hi, are you are new mommy?" He asked me
"Not exactly, I'm your stepmom" I answered him, he still looked confused but nodded anyway, then I looked and noticed that the youngest of the three boys Rogan, was sitting on the couch very quietly, I looked at Shane who had noticed as well and he nodded over to him, so I made my way over when I got close Rogan looked up from the couch at me as I sat down next to him
"What's wrong, buddy?" I asked him quietly
"Mommy told me that you were gonna replace her" he said, as soon as he said that Shane came over and sat down on the other side of him
"Did mommy say anything else about her?" He asked, Rogan nodded in response, I could see Shane shake his head out of the corner of my eye before Rogan began talking again, "mommy says that she's not a very good person to be our mommy" he confessed, my eyes snapped up to look at Shane who was once again shaking his head
"Well ya know buddy, none of those things mommys said about her are true ok?" Rogan nodded in agreement with Shane and hopped off the couch to play with his brothers, Shane turned to me
"What are we gonna do if she keeps telling them stuff like that" I asked he looked at me and shrugged
"I guess your just gonna have to out mom her then" he said, I laughed and he let out a deep chuckle as we watched the boys play their video game and I thought of what a great family I had just gotten into
