(This part takes place about a year into the future where Shawn and skyler have been together a while and skyler now works for wwe)
(Skylers pov)
Tonight is the night, I thought to myself and me and Shawn pulled into the arena parking lot, ever since I filled in for my sister chyna not only did I gain a boyfriend (Shawn) but Vince was so impressed with my in ring skills that he gave me a job here in wwe and after a year of working hard I've finally been rewarded with a women's title match against lita tonight, I was thinking off the ways the match could go when Shawn put his hand on my thigh breaking my concentration, I looked over at him
"We're here doll" he said getting out and going around to the back, I smiled and got out as well, when I got around to the back Shawn had both mine and his bag
"I can take that Shawn" I said laughing at him struggling to close the trunk with both bags in hand
"No no doll face, you've got yourself a title match tonight, we can't risk anything happening before then" he said with a smirk before leaning in
"And plus a real man never makes a lady carry heavy things" he whispered which caused me to punch him lightly on the chest and then turning to walk into the arena, Shawn laughed and jogged to catch up to me

After getting in the arena me and Shawn had found Joanie and hunter outside the dx locker room, Joanie had gotten cleared to wrestle again about six months ago so she had joined dx again along side me so now there were four of us in dx
"There's the new women's champ" Joanie said when she saw me, I laughed
"I'm not the women's champ yet" i said "but after tonight I will be" I said with a smirk
"That's the attitude!" Hunter laughed as me and Shawn entered the locker room so I could get changed, right before I started to get changed into my ring gear I looked at Shawn sitting on the couch smirking at me
"Do you mind Shawn ?" I laughed, he looked confused
"We've been together for a year, it's nothing I haven't seen before" he exclaimed, I slipped my shirt off and threw it at him
"At least be a gentleman and cover your eyes" I laughed, he then dramatically put both his hands over his eyes, I then rolled mine and continued getting changed
————— time skip to match against lita——————
I was already in the ring when lita started heading down, I've been ready for this match since I started here and I can't wait to show lita who the real women's champion is, lita came down to the team xtreme theme song which I thought was weird since she had her own and we had both agreed to leave the men backstage while we had our match since the Hardy's have been known to get in the way of litas opponents
Once lita got down to the ring and the match started I was in control, I had whipped her into the corner and was about to run towards her when team xtremes music played and I saw the Hardy's running towards the ring, I started to panic since they weren't supposed to be out here during the match
Jeff slid in the cornered me in the corner opposite lita and Matt came around and pulled my ankles out from under me causing me to smash my face into the ring and my nose to start bleeding, I grabbed my face and rolled onto my back as Jeff climbed out of the ring and grabbed something I couldn't see
When both Matt and Jeff got into the ring I could tell what they had, steel chairs, I tried to crawl away but Jeff grabbed me by my ankle as Matt lined up a shot, and was about to hit me with full strength until dx's theme filled the arena
Still on my back in the ring I saw Matt and Jeff quickly get taken down by hunter and Shawn as Joanie kneeled down beside me and checked to see if I was ok, she helped me sit up as I was still holding my nose and got a towel from ring side to clean the blood off, I then remembered Shawn
I looked over to see hunter trying to pull an obviously mad Shawn off of Matt hardy since Jeff and lita had already retreated from the ring to backstage
"Shawn!" I called from my place in the ring, Shawn's head shot up as we made eye contact, his eyes that were once full of fury softened upon seeing me and he lifted himself off of the older hardy and made he was over to where i was sitting next to Joanie
He wrapped his arms around me and brought my face into his neck, as I breathed in his sent he put his chin on my head and started to talk
"I'm so sorry baby, I should have been out here" he croaked
"It's ok Shawn, it's not your fault. They're the ones who broke the rules" I said as Shawn lifted me into his arms and carried me out of the ring
I looked up at Shawn as he carried me backstage and towards the trainer to get me looked at, as I thought to myself. I may not have won the match but I was lucky enough to win the heart of the greatest guy I've ever met
