Puppy Love (Jaylos)

Chapter 7

Carlos jumped on his feet, chewing on his bottom lip. He watched Jay run across the field, his heart beating fast, scared that Jay could get hurt. Carlos sighed as he shook his head. 

He felt someone tapped on his shoulder, making him look up at Jane. Carlos laughed as he side hugged Jane, hearing her giggle. He gave her a small smile and saw she pulled out a spell book.

"I found the right spell!" Jane yelled over the noise.

"Seriously?" He asked as she nodded.

"Yes! Now all we need is to go somewhere we can do the spell." Jane said as Carlos nodded.

Jane grabbed his wrist and tugged him along. Carlos laughed but what made him stop, was Ben. He turned and saw Jay on the ground, holding onto his wrist. Carlos screamed as he ran towards Jay.

"Jay!" Carlos yelled as he grabbed at his shoulders.

"Carlos, I'm right here. Just calm down." Jay said as Carlos shook his head.

"What if you're not! You could die or worst! Turning into a genie, it's going to be crazy! That's scary, I don't want to lose you!" Carlos yelled as he started to shake Jay.

"Uh, Carlos," Evie said as she tapoed on his shoulder. "You're going to turn him into soup if you don't stop hun." Evie said as Carlos made a 'O' with his miuth.

Giggling as he let fo of Jay. "So he isn't going to change into a genie?" He asked as Mal out two fingers on his wrist.

"No Carlos, he has a sprain. Why won't you take him to the nurse'a." Mal said as Carlos nodded.

"And try not to make him into soup!" Evie yelled.

Carlos held out his hand for Jay, and they walked towards the nurse office. Carlos tried to make Jay feel better by telling him terrible puns and jokes, but Jay laughed at them anyway. Because the brunette couldn't keep him mind off of Carlos.

Jay sighed as he looked down at his wrist, knowing what really happened. He turned and saw Carlos talking to Jane, hugged her, then following her time wherever. He got jealous, but he'll never say that one outloud, Carlos would just laugh at him. He didn't want to lose him, so he needed a lie.

Or he could just tell them thatche tripped. Because that was the physical reason, but if he ask why? Then Jay knew that he was screwed.

He just shook his head as he sat down on the cot, staring ahead of him. Carlos told the nurse what happened, but he didn't see and Jay thanked Fairy Godmother herself. He sighed as the nurse looked over his wrist, and told her the real story.

That he just tripped, not that he was jealous over Jane. Because that would make him look crazy.

As she walked out to get a wrist brace, Jay looked at Carlos. He was chewing on his nails, knowing that was his nervous habit. He smiled and patted the extra stop next to him, and let Carlos put his head on his arm.

"Why are you so worried? Just a sprain, probably won't last longer than two or three week tops." Jay said as Carlos groaned.

"Yeah! But you never get hurt during the games, so why this time?" Carlos asked as Jay gulped.

"Maybe there was a small hole?"

"I guess, but it still doesn't make sense to me."

"Stop thinking about it. Just be happy that you don't have to play, because we all know how much you hate playing alone." Jay said as Carlos nodded.

"One good thing." Carlos said as he saw lolly pops on the desk.

"Yum! Candy!" He exclaimed as he jumped off the bed.

Jay looked at the blonde, and saw he was jumping up and down. Grabbing at the candy, Jay looked at his hair. A blonde ears perked up from the curls and a tail popped out from the pants. Jay widened his eyes and opened his mouth, but the nurse walked in.

"Here you go," She said as Carlos turned away with mouth full of lolly pops.

"Thanks Mrs. Charming!" Carlos exclaimed.

Jay sat on the bench, watching the rest of the game. He leaned back and cheered for Carlos and Ben. Staring at his wrist brace then back towards the match.

He felt stupid getting jealous over Jane, but then he doesn't. The only reason he looked back wad becayse of Carlos. He wanted to see his smile, hear his name being called out, hearing Carlos cheering for him.

Jay sighed as he looked uo in the stands. Evie and Mal was yelling out for Carlos and Ben, Doug was playing his instrument. But his brown eyes caught Jane sitting in the stands, reading. That made his blood boil.

Don't get him wrong, he thought Jane was a perfect friend. He just didn't want her to steal his man. Not that he was claiming him, Carlos had a right to date anyone. Only if it was Jay.

The brunette shook his head as he looked at the field. He stood on his feet and saw Carlos was running down the field, being passed the ball by Ben. Jay smiled and threw his arms in the air.

"Carlos! Go!" Jay yelled as Carlos turned to look at him.

"I know you can do it!" He yelled as Carlos nodded.

The blonde tossed the ball into the goal. Then it was like slow motion for Jay, everything all at once. The ball went inside the goal, everyone hushed, but that wasn't made everyone stand still.

Carlos turned into a golden retriever.
