Puppy Love (Jaylos)

Chapter 8

Jay was speechless, he couldn't focus on anything but Carlos. His brown eyes looked over his body and his mind race, but when Carlos shifted back into human the crowd cheered. Ben wrapped his arms around Carlos, who face was a bright red and stared at Jay. The blonde wanted to run towards Jay but the team surrounded him.

Jay shook his head and walked off, ignoring his friends calling for him. He was angry, not because Carlos was a dog, but because he didn't tell him. Jay thought Carlos trusted him, and Jay trusted Carlos with his life, he would tell him anything. Yet Carlos couldn't tell him that he turns into a dog?

Sure Jay didn't like dogs, something about them made his skin crawl. But he would try to understand the situation, but he was to angry to think. His heart raced as he kicked open the dorm room, he punched the table with his good hand. Jay shook his head, but he felt all the angry bubbling in his throat. Order to get out he screamed, ignoring the looks from people passing by.

"Jay! I'm so sorry, I wanted to tell you but I promised Jane that I wouldn't tell anyone!" Carlos exclaimed, out of breath.

"Are you kidding me right now?" Jay asked as he turned around, making Carlos jumped.

"Jay, that's the truth."

"Carlos, who cares about that! You actually didn't tell me this was happening. Because of Jane?"

"She's my friend, and she was scared."

"Scared? Carlos if she was really your friend then she wouldn't have asked you to keep this from me! I'm the one who looks out for you and worries about you!"

"I know you, and believe I love that, but I promised her." Carlos said as Jay shook his head.

He pulled at his long hair then kicked the table, making it fall on it's side. All of their stuff crashed on the ground, but that didn't make Carlos cry, it was his computer. Carlos stared at the broken computer, the one that Jay bought for him. Jay yelled as he punched the wall then kicked the chairs over. Carlos reached to grab the computer but he stopped when Jay fell to his knees.

"Do you remember when one of Gaston's kids was making fun of you?" Jay asked as Carlos nodded.

"You protected me, like you always do." Carlos said.

"Then why couldn't you tell me this?" Jay asked as Carlos frowned.

Carlos sat next to Jay then put his head on his shoulder, making the brunette put his head on top of his. Carlos grabbed at Jay's hand and laced with his. The blonde poked at Jay's fingers, making the older boy laugh. Carlos smiled and brought their hands in front of them, and pulled his head off Jay's shoulder. He stared at Jay, gazing into his brown eyes.

"Jay, I know that you're hurt from me not telling you. Trust me it killed me not telling you, but for now on I am going to tell you everything." Carlos said as Jay snorted.

"Alright, that's sounds like a plan. But please don't wait next time, I was getting worried." Jay said.

"Worried about what?"

"That's doesn't matter right now."

"Awe, Jay, are you jealous?"

"Shut up."

"It's alright Jay, people normally get jealous over me." Carlos said as Jay punched him on the chest.

Jay laid back on the ground and stared at the ceiling, but he still felt off. Now there was going to be two dogs staying with him, which he didn't need that. He frowned and groaned as Carlos looked over towards him. He saw how Jay was starting to angry again, which he was worried that he might break the chairs next.

"What's wrong?" Carlos asked, poking at his chest.

"I can't get over the fact that you're a dog. I mean out of the thousands of animals, why a dog?" Jay asked as Carlos rolled his eyes.

"To be honest, all I wanted was a dog shirt." He replied.

"So I'm guessing the spell went wrong?"

"She's a beginner Jay, it's not going to be perfect."

"Whatever. Just go get some sleep, maybe this is just some crazy dream."

When Jay woke up, he wanted it to be a dream. He needed it to be a dream, because he didn't want a sprain wrist and his crush to be a dog. Jay didn't like dogs, and what would it mean if his crush was a dog? Would he have to start liking dogs again, or would he have to cut off Carlos completely?

But Jay couldn't do that.

He sighed as he rolled on his back, staring up at the ceiling. He started to chew on his finger nails and begged to Fairy Godmother that it was a dream, but he heard barking. Jay looked over and saw Carlos was in dog form with Dude on the bed, which he sat there and glared at them. He stood up and grabbed some left over water and poured it on his face, hoping that it would wake him up from this nightmare.

He finally heard Carlos laughing as he turned back and saw him hugging Dude.

"Man, Dude tells the best jokes but he has a serious potty mouth." Carlos said as Jay nodded slowly.

"So this is a dream?" Jay asked.

"No, why?" Carlos asked as Jay sighed.

"I seriously wanted it to be." Jay mumbled before smiling at Carlos.

"Catch up with you later, I gotta talk to Chad about something." He said as he ran out, leaving a sad Carlos.

Yet that was the first step to their drifting relationship.
