Chapter 10

Jay grabbed his shirt, changing fast before Carlos woke up. He took in a deep breath, then looked at the blonde, hurt filled in his heart and he frowned. He walked over and kissed Carlos' forhead, then walked over towards the door. He walked out and saw Doug walking him way, with one hand up.

"Evie told me everything." Doug said as Jay gulped.

"What kind of everything?" Jay asked.

"Carlos, he came to me and started to cry." Doug said.

"Wait, he was in the room all night. How did he talk to you?"

"Uh, I don't think that matters. But Evie said that Carlos wasn't feeling well, and he is my friend."

"Doug, it's great that you watch over him, trust me. But everything is alright, we don't need a royal kid butting in, yeah?" Jay said as he walked away.

Doug looked behind him and rolled his eyes. He knocked on the bedroom door and heard dude barking. Doug smiled, waiting for Carlos to open the door and saw the blonde rubbing his eyes. Doug rocked back and forth on his heels, leaving Carlos to yawn.

"Hey Doug. How are you?" Carlos asked, leaning against the door frame.

"Well I was worried about you, also Evie. So I wanted to check on you and see if you wanna get something to eat." Doug said.

Carlos smiled. "Sure! Let me see if Jay wan-." Carlos frozed and sighed as he looked at him.

"Yeah, yeah, I wanna go." Carlos said as Doug smiled. "Just let me change my clothes."

Carlos closed the door and put his fist in his mouth, crying. Carlos quickly changed out of his clothes and brushed his hair. The blonde saw Doug was looking at his phone, snorting.

"Ready?" Doug asked as Carlos nodded. "Awesome! Because Tiana's Place has the best pancakes, they also allow pets."

"Well atleast I know I can come in." Carlos said.

"Ha! Real funny, my dad says that all the time."

"I thought your dad doesn't talk?"

"Ehh, depending if you hang around him a lot."

"Thanks Doug."

"For what?"

"For not letting me wallow in my own sadness."

Doug wrapped his arm around Carlos' shoulders. "What are friends for?"

The two made their way to Doug's bike, making Carlos jump and down. He grabbed Doug's arm and started to shake him, making Doug fix his glasses.

"What is it?" Doug asked.

"Can I turn into a dog and ride in the basket? Dude says it is the best thing ever!" Carlos exclaimed as Doug chuckled.

"Sure, yeah, go ahead." Doug said as Carlos giggled.

He shifted into a dog and Doug picked him up, putting him in the basket. Doug jumped on the bike, not seeing Lonnie, and rode away.

Jay grumbled as he walked in the gym, staring at the wall. He sighed as he rubbed his neck. Jay felt the guilt raising up in his stomach, which made him walk back to the dorm. He chewed on his bottom lip and reached the gym doors and walked out.

"Jay!" Evie yelled as Jay widened his eyes.

Jay turned around, giving her a small timid smile. Already feeling the fear, she glared at him with her angry brown eyes. Jay nodded slowly but Evie stopped and crossed her arms over her chest, and huffed.

"So what were you doing?" Evie asked.

"Just taking a joy walk." Jay said.

"Oh yeah, joy walk," Evie said as she hit his arm. "You made Carlos cry! Do you know how much I want to cut your hair!"

Jay gasped, "You know I love my hair! And did I really make Carlos cry?"

"Yes, you did. Mal had to lock the door from the outside, so I wouldn't have to beat the snot out of you." Evie threatened.

"Chill Evie, I didn't mean to make Carlos cry. But look, right now I'm going go to the dorm. We all can go out to eat at Tiana's." Jay said as Evie nodded.

"Are you talking about Carlos?" Lonnie asked as the two teens jumped.

"Holy Genie, you scared us." Jay said as Lonnie smiled.

"I just saw him leave with Doug, I think they've having breakfast." Lonnie said as Jat frowned.

"Well atleast someone cares about him." Evie said as she smiled at Lonnie.

The girls both went to the other girls, leaving Jay. He frowned as he thought about what Evie said. Of Jay cares about Carlos, but when he kept the secret from Jay. It was like the Fates themselves cut their friendship string some, which pretty much sucks.

He frowned then walked back in the gym, seeing Ben and Chad. Jay decided to hang out with them instead.

Carlos laughed when Doug told him jokes, finally feeling at peace. He didn't think of Jay at all, mostly because he was amazed at the music playing and Doug pushing him to dance. Carlos sighed as he looked at Doug, and smiled slightly.

"Well I didn't know that you can dance." Doug said as Carlos shrugged his shoulders.

"I love to dance, besides you shocked me!" Carlos said as he bumped against Doug's arm.

"How?" He asked.

"I didn't think that you can dance! I would think that you would be a little bit clumsy."

"Please! That's actually Trip, his daughter can knock down a whole dorm hall!"

"So is that's why the dorm next to Mal and Evie's has caution tapes and bouncy mat?" Carlos asked as Doug nodded.

"Yup, but she is a real funny girl. Trip and I usually make fun of Annie, Angry's daughter, but we usually end up with bruises." Doug said as Carlos giggled.

Doug walked Carlos back to his dorm and nodded his head towards the blonde. Carlos smiled and hugged Doug, hiding his face in his chest. Doug widened his eyes in shock but hugged him back, because Carlos is his friend.

"Thanks Doug, I actualy had fun today!" Carlos said as Doug laughed.

"So did I. And if you ever wanna hang out again, just send a quick text. But not on Friday's, Evie and I go to the movies." Doug said as Carlos nodded.

"Alright." Carlos said.

Doug punched Carlos on his shoulder lightly, making the blonde turn a bright red. Doug walked away, leaving Carlos heart beated fast and he walked inside the room. He saw Jay sitting on the bed, and he smiled.

"Hey Jay!" Carlos exclaimed.

"What's up?" Jay asked.

"Whatever not down."

"Huh?"

"Doug told me that joke, I laughed and chocolate milk came out of my nose."

"Doug told you that joke?" Jay asked.

"Yup! Why haven't we hang out with him before, he's great!" Carlos said as Jay sighed.

"Hey Carlos?" Jay asked as Carlos hummed. "Can we hang out tomorrow? I heard there's a new movie out."

"Sure! But can Doug come?" Carlos asked as Jay turned away.

"That's cool." Jay said, but not liking the idea.
