Chapter 19

"So you're cool with him changing into a dog now," Evie asked.

"Yes," Jay replied.

"Are you planning anything special for him?"

"Why would I do that?"

"Dunno, maybe to spoil him."

"You act like I'm going to lose him, Evie."

"I never said that."

"You implied it."

"When did I do that?"

"Evie, you're giving me a headache."

Evie giggled as she clapped her hands, "Mal and I can help you with the secret date!"

"We can?" Mal asked.

"You can?" Jay asked.

"Of course! We aren't going to just sit around." Evie said.

Mal raised her eyebrow, "You just want to spy on them."

Evie kicked Mal's leg underneath the table. Mal glared at her before turning back to Jay. Jay sighed as leaned back in the chair. He listened to Mal and Evie talk about ideas. Jay looked around the area for Carlos.

Carlos told them that he is going to talk to Jane. At first, he got jealous but Carlos told him not to be. Jay would have fought back but deep down, he knows Carlos loves him. Carlos told that to Jay himself. Still, Jay couldn't help but feel a tiny bit of jealousy when Carlos is around someone alone who is good looking.

Not to mention how easy he was to losing Carlos to Doug. That would have crushed him.

"Jay, you have been dating for three weeks. And you guys passed your first relationship problem." Evie said.

"Thanks?" Jay said, questioningly.

"But this date will make everything perfect!"

"You know, it seems you are more into my relationship then I am." 

Evie nodded, "I am. But I can choose the outfit for tonight that you will be wearing!" 

Jay sighed as he nodded. What he didn't know that the outfitting process was going to start now. Evie grabbed his arms and shoved him in the make-up chair. She sent Mal out to make the date area for tonight with Doug. While Evie was brushing Jay's long brown hair, she was on the phone with Ben forcing him to make Carlos look nice for the date tonight.

Evie fussed over Jay's hair for an hour. She trimmed it since Jay forbid her to cut it shorter. Her phone rang with Mal's picture. Evie told her how she wants the date to look like. Jay listened to her as she brushed his hair back, slicking backward. Evie spoke to fast but he heard something about lights lots of lights.

She put on a little bit of make-up on his face. Jay didn't complain because he loves the feel of the brush on his face. Jay noted that his hair and make-up took two hours in total. Which he thought is ridiculous.

Evie made sure he didn't move as she picked out clothes. He felt awkward that Evie had this planned this for too long. She already had the outfit ready. Evie handed him the clothes then stepped out of the room so he could change.

"Crazy friends these days," Jay muttered.

He slipped out of his usual clothing for these 'dressy' clothing. A button up white shirt he rolled the sleeves to his elbows. A pair of blue skinny jeans and black dress shoes to match. He called for Evie who walked in. She tapped her chin before walking over.
