"You know, Bay, you shouldn't take shit from Claire. There's nothing she can do about the fact that you have Luke. You won, she loses. She'll just have to face the hard reality." I explained as we sat on my bed during what was labeled as "study date night", but we both knew it was really to update each other on what was happening.

"It's just hard to ignore her all day." She whispered.

"Hey." I consoling rubbed her back. "I got you. It's fine. Luke will protect you when I'm not around. It's fine."

"Yeah." She bobbed her head up. "Calum. Spill." She smiled. I ducked my head low and let my hair cover my face so she wouldn't see my obvious blushing. She nudged my shoulder. I brought my head back up and took a dramatic deep breath.

"He is my boyfriend. I like him and he likes me. That's all there is to it."

"You guys are so cute, it's not even fair."

"Us? What about you two?" I widened my eyes and raised my eyebrows. She rolled her eyes at me and scoffed.

"We should go on another double date soon." She shrugged. My phone started ringing like crazy, so I answered it.

"Hello?" I asked, not bothering to look at the caller.

"Hi cutie." Calum lowly whispered into the phone. It barely sounded like him, a voice I had never heard him use.

"Hi. What's up?" I chirped.

"Could I possibly come to your house about, hmm, right now?" He chuckled. I covered the speaker with my hand. I silently mouthed the words 'It's Calum.' to Bay and continued. "What for, exactly?" I bit my lip.

"I may or may not have gotten in a pretty big argument with my parents." He sighed.

"Oh?"

"I don't really want to go into detail. Can I come over for a little while? I promise I'll crash at Luke's or something. I just want to talk." The desperation in his voice was extremely evident.

"My mom isn't home now, but she will be soon I'm sure." I pointed out.

"I'm good at being quiet and hiding. Promise." He quietly laughed to himself. "I would say pinky promise but I'm not with you yet." I held back a smile and turned around to Bay.

"Can I call you back in one sec?"

"Yeah. Go ahead. Bye babe." I gently sat my phone down.

"So Calum just said he got into a big argument with his parents and he wants to know if he can come over for a bit." I chewed on my bottom lip, hoping she would take the obvious hint.

"Tell him to come on over." She shrugged.

"Bay, he wants to be alone with me." I trailed off.

She raised her hands in defeat. "Alright okay, just be safe, don't make bad decisions, and don't do something you'll regret tomorrow. You two lovebirds have fun." She waved and walked out. I heard the front door shut and immediately called Calum back. I hurriedly made the plans for him to come and cleaned my room up a bit.

"Your room is so clean." He looked around at my room in awe.

"It's usually not like this." I laughed. We stood in the middle of my oddly organised room. He forcefully grabbed my waist and pulled me in front of him. He smiled at me and pulled my hips closer until they were touching his. I felt the rose color creeping up my cheeks. He brought his lips to mine and moulded them together over and over. He ran his hands up my hips until they were in contact with my skin under my shirt. He sunk his kisses down my jaw, to my neck, then to my collarbone. He swept away my shirt from my shoulder and started leaving slow kisses down it, too.

"Calum, what are you doing?" I twirled wavy pieces of his hair between my fingers.

"Trying to forget. Help me forget." He smashed his lips onto mine. He pushed us so I flopped down on my bed.

"What's gotten into you? Are you drunk or something?" He was definitely not acting like himself. He was confident and cocky. The Calum I know is shy, nervous, and awkward.

"Or something." He took his shirt off and sat next me on the bed. He attached his lips to my neck, sending butterflies to attack my stomach, but not getting rid of the sinking feeling he was also giving me. I pushed him off.

"I don't know what you think you came over here to do, but it's not happening. I thought you just wanted to talk, Cal. Why are you acting so weird?" He let out another sigh and ruffled his hair.

"I'm just gonna go. I'm stupid. This is stupid." He slipped his shirt back on and started to walk out.

"What do you mean this is stupid? You're acting crazy!"

"I'm just gonna go before I say anything else." He shook his head as the clicked the door behind him. He left alone with me alone with my own thoughts and completely confused. I picked up the phone and called Bay to come back.
