Chapter 2

A few weeks later. Me and Mason have been talking a lot and we have become really good friends. After school I'm on my phone and I get a text. "Hey I wanted to know if you wanted to come to my football game tonight?" Mason had texted me. "Uh I can ask but I doubt it. My mom doesn't like me going to football games." I texted him back. "Oh well I'm sure if you tell them your boyfriend is playing they will let you go." He texted back with a winky face. "Um now I'm definitely not going" I texted back. I can't believe he had the nerve to say that. "Chill out girl I was joking. But hurry up and come I'm waiting." He texted me. Ugh I guess I have to go I have no choice. I asked my mom and I put on a crop top and shorts and walked to the field. I live right next to the field so it wasn't that hard to walk there. When I get there I see Mason first. "Hey you came?!" He sounded so happy. "Yeah I mean you begged me too so I did" I teased him. "Very funny." He introduced me to his parents and sister. His sister is so sweet. His mom is one of my teachers so I already met her. His dad is in the city council. His family are really great people. Mason: "please don't leave until the game is over I need to talk to you after the game." He told me. I promised him I was gonna stay and he went to join the team. His sister and mom invited me to sit with them. I said no because well my friends were standing there and I wasn't gonna make them think something with me sitting with Mason's family. I walked over to Michael and Ray. "Hey guys what's up?" I asked acting like they didn't just see me with Mason and his family. "Hey nothing, what's up with you? Why are you hanging around Mason and his family. Why are you even here? You hate football and you've never been to one of our games." They both asked me. "Mason asked me to come and chill out I told you guys I'm gonna stay away from players. Me and Mason are just friends." I promised them. Of course Mason made the winning goal. After the game Mason came up to me. I brought my hand up to high five him. But he moved my hand and hugged me. It was so weird. But I hugged him back. He picked me up and brought me around the fence so I'm standing by him. "Uh I'm sorry I got carried away" he said blushing. "It's fine." I said smiling at him. "Good job!" I said. Suddenly his team mates came and took him away. "I'll text you!" Mason yelled. I smiled at him and started to go home
