She couldn't resist. Maybe it was his way of taking, his way of listening to every word she says, or his way to simply care, but she couldn't resist anymore.

"Justin?" said Selena, her voice coming out as a whisper.

The brown-haired man stopped making the guest room's bed and landed his hazel eyes on her, smiling kindly. "Yes, princess?"

She didn't respond; she just placed her arms on his shoulders and leaped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist. He caught her like a reflex and seemed slightly taken back by her impulsive action.

"You're so good to me," Selena explained, emotional. "I owe you."

His lips curved into a smile and he raised his head to look up at her angelic face. They stayed in the same position for a few seconds and Selena felt like a lightweight. Suddenly, she became much braver. "Justin?" She called again, her heart lifted off the ground as well.

"I'm right here," answered the man, his strong arms locked beneath her legs to hold her up.

The blonde girl leaned slowly, before their lips met in an electrifying way, sending shivers down both of their bodies. They kept it sweet, long, slow. It wasn't as rough as the first time, it was in fact much different. More passionate. More caring. More real. When she finally pulled away, they stared at her other, mesmerized. In love.

"I'm sorry," she slowly breathed. "I didn't think... I thought I... Never mind."

She looked at the ground, blushing beet red. Why did she suddenly kiss him like that? It was obvious that her feelings weren't mutual, and she literally just humiliated herself. Selena mentally cursed herself and regretted her action more than anything else.

"Hey, princess, it's okay to like me," cooed Justin, cupping her heated cheeks and forcing her to look into his piercing eyes. Selena blushed in embarrassment and was about to deny everything, but Justin was quicker. "I know you like me. And for real, you have nothing to be embarrassed for."

The undercover agent waited for his confession about his feelings, but nothing came. For her, it meant once again that he didn't feel the same way. Gosh, why does she have to deal with rejection the first time she falls in love?

"I'm not embarrassed," she lied between her teeth. "I just wanted to know what it felt like."

"And what did it felt like?" insisted Justin like he was a cop interrogating the suspect number one of a crime.

Selena sighed, feeling frustrated, and rolled her eyes at him. She briefly looked away to hide her blush, but Justin forcefully brought her face back in front of his. "Tell me," he ordered. "Do you like me?"

He narrowed dangerously his eyes and approached her impossibly closer. He then tightly wrapped his arms around her waist in a teasing way and waited for her response. Selena swore that she could feel cold sweat pouring down her spine. He made every question seem so stressful, so important. She was conflicted about what to say. What to feel.

She just wanted to maul him again and kiss him until the night ends. "What I feel for you," she started, trying to find her words. "What I feel for you is very intense, and I... Damn, it's not even reasonable. I mean, I've been attracted to some guys before, but with you, there's something different."

Justin placed his lips in hers, and they fit so well. Like they were made for each other. After another make-up session, he told her goodnight and was about to walk out of the guest room. Selena frowned vividly, wondering why he didn't confess back and why he didn't acknowledge her feelings. Tense, she stopped and turned towards him as doubt rose all across her mind.

"Don't you have feelings for me, too? Or are you just playing with me?" She accused bluntly, swallowing her saliva with difficulty.

The air became much colder while he stopped walking and gently pushed her to the wall, one arm around her waist. She retained her breath and stared at his hazel eyes in shock. Is there something more ambiguous than him?

"You think I don't have feelings for you?" He asked, lowering his depth of tone. "You really think I'm a player?"

Damn, he seemed so menacing like that! Selena thought, and it honestly excited and scared her at the same time. She could even feel his breath hitting on her lips, and felt millions of butterflies fluttering down her stomach. "I don't know, you never told me directly," she argued breathlessly, wanting to hear him say the words.

He laughed humourlessly, and his eyes became darker. "I would never play any woman, and even less you." He then kissed her temple, awakening the nerve-wracking attraction inside of their bodies. "You make me feel important. Like I actually count for you. And that's all I ever wanted."

Selena let out a shaky breath and gripped onto him even harder. She was burning with desire to the point she thought it was a sin. "Prove it," she whispered, her knees weak. "Please..."

"You're not mine," stated the security agent. "We only know each other for three days, and I already know I'm not good enough. I can't have you."

Selena was truthfully in loss of words. She never thought that he could have self-esteem problems since she felt the exact same way. "I'm yours," she quickly assured, losing her patience. "I don't care if we just met because you're the best thing that ever happened to me."

Justin sighed and penetrated his gaze into her green and wide opened eyes. "Princess... You see, no matter how enticing I think you are, I respect you and I respect women. You're not mine. You deserve some Prince Charming who'll genuinely treat you right. I'm not rich, I'm not positive, and I don't even have a family or any friends. Hell, I didn't even have a girlfriend who liked me. I'm not good enough for you and you know it."

She had tears in her eyes while listening to his words. How could he even think like that? She couldn't understand why women always left him; he was perfect. Caring, romantic in his own way, kind and generous... But with a mix of sharpness and mystery. Who wouldn't want to keep him?

"They are fools for leaving you," Selena said, infuriated. "And it's not your fault that your parents abandoned you. All the one who left you aren't worth your time and aren't worth your concern. I'm not them. I will not hurt you, do you hear me? I will not judge you, are we clear on that?"

Justin's lips almost curled into a smile, and his heart skipped a beat as he waited for the end of Selena's lecture.

"You wanna know why?" hissed the undercover cop in anger. "You wanna know why I would never leave you? Because I'm not like them. I love you."

Justin pressed his lips against hers, and gently lied her in bed. He was stunned about how fast he fell for her, too. He felt like he found a rare gem, and that thought sent him flying. It might be the luckiest day of his life.

"Make me yours."

It was an order, and Justin understood that. So he obeyed and started kissing her neck, taking as much time as possible. They went for a night of bliss, much stronger than the first time.

Much more meaningful.
