She tiptoed carefully, walking past the waiting room to not get discovered, and entered Miley's room. The doctor crossed his arms and asked who she was, and she, of course, responded "A friend". The man then left her alone with the patient, making the room fell silent.

She didn't know what to say to soothe her own pain and to soothe Miley's, so she kept her mouth shut and stared at her with sorrowful eyes. She could've done something; she was the only one who knew about her struggles. Why did she let her pursue the mission if she knew that Miley wasn't well? Idiot, that's what she is.

Ariana didn't bother to wipe her own tears and just slid down the wall, her back against it. Her new friend was in a coma, and it hurt her more than anything else in the world. Because she knew why she was there. She knew why she did it. She knew what happened in her past. And it pained her.

Things will never be the same.

The red-haired receptionist covered her face with her hands and waited. Waited for a sign. Waited for a move. Waited for some improvement. But nothing.

Have Miley abandoned her interior fight? Has she completely lost faith and 100% wished to die? Didn't she want to cure herself, and have another chance? Ariana didn't even have to force to sob when she thought about it. Even if she met Miley a few days ago, she has been such an inspiration to her.

"You know, Miley," she suddenly said a little out of the blue. "Sometimes, when holding on hurts too much, it's better to let go." She then paused a little, thinking about that quote, and almost smiled. Miley told her that during her shooting lesson, and she remembered it word by word.

"It's been two days you're trying to shoot the target. Consecutive hours and numerous times you tried. Let's face it, Ari, you'll never reach the target. Some people are naturally bad shooters, and maybe you're one of them."

I rolled my eyes at Miley's words, in reality really bothered. "I swear I'll succeed one day! When the right time comes, I will shoot the right thing or person, and you will be so proud of me."

My new friend rolled her eyes; a few days with me and she already knew how determinate I am as a person. I'll never give up; never. Wasn't this a quality? I surely hope so.

"You know, Ariana, I discovered such an accurate quote during the years by experience. Sometimes, when holding on hurts too much, it's better to let go."

Confused, I stopped renewing the bullets and stared at the agent with questions marks in my eyes. "This quote has absolutely no link with the situation I'm in right now."

"Oh, yes, there's a link. This quote has a link to everything in life; every situation. In this case, it simply means that you have to take a pause and stop shooting, or you'll never succeed."

Even more confused, I stared at her and shook my head. "I really don't understand, Mi. Your quote is bullshit. My quote is to never give up even though it hurts."

She shrugged her shoulders and said: "Everybody has their own quotes. We believe in what we believe in."

I turned around and picked up the gun once more. I renewed the bullet and prepared myself for another shooting session. "Of course, Mi. There is no right or wrong quote."

Ariana zoned out of the flashback and cracked a little smile. "I found the second part of your quote." She stood up, walked beside the 'sleeping' beauty, and took her frozen hand in hers. "After we let go of everything and renew our forces, we stand up and fight again."

She smiled weakly, feeling her tears flood back. She never thought she'd live any moment of her life like this. Next to someone who's dying and philosophizing. It's a situation that will normally make her laugh, but not today.
