Selena skipped down the busy streets of Washington DC while giggling and admiring the different landscapes. What a beautiful city! she thought to herself but stopped once she remembered her task. Focus! the interior voice cried out as she gently hit her head to stop being so... herself. On duty, on a mission, Code Red, she repeated in her mind like a psychopath.
A resident passed by her with a judgmental glare, making Selena feel childish and almost ridiculous. You're eighteen, act like one! She lectured herself like she does often in these situations.
"I'm pathetic," she concluded out loud as she heavily fell on a park bench. "I need to find an available hotel room right now and focus on the mission. I can't bear with those endless fights between me and me, not anymore."
Another stranger, who was jogging down the street in an athletic outfit, heard her monologue and gazed at her with a creeped-out look meaning get a grip, girl, and run to rehab. Selena groaned and entered a taxi that guided her to the cheapest hotel. She shortly grabbed her phone and sent an SMS to the whole team, reassuring them about her safety. She then decided to take a shower to kill time, before engaging herself in intense researches about the national security officers team.
She googled the white building picture, recognizing it as a skyscraper she leered at earlier on. She couldn't believe that she'd have to work there among a hundred of security officers. It seemed more dangerous than she thought it would be. What if someone finds out her real identity?
She quickly pushed her negative thoughts away and reassured herself; She was unafraid of the whole mission, knowing her amazing informatics skills. She can hack all sorts of confidential systems without any problem and it won't be different for this time, she convinced herself with a huge grin. She has been into computers since a young age; she often calls it her soulmate.
Talking about soulmates... She sighed deeply while thinking about the romantic relationship between Miley and Nick. Unspoken words, unspoken feelings... Even though she acted clueless sometimes, it was obvious that there was some kind of tension between them; a blind person could see it. She then thought about Demi and Joe, and a big smirk drew on her gorgeous face. She predicts an explosive relationship between these two future lovers. They hated each other so much that it blinded their true feelings... And she was sure about this crazy theory!
"Time for lunch!" She yelped eagerly before jumping off the hotel bed and following the Google Maps' instructions. "Life is going pretty good since I can visit the whole city as a tourist today!" She giggled at her own words, feeling joyful and delighted.
It was her first time in Washington, so why not enjoy it before serious duty comes into her way?

"Hey, Cole! Nice to see you again!"
Nick rushed out of the Texas airport and gave a pleasant hug to one of his long-time pals, who was also, ironically, his boss. He couldn't help but notice Cole's strange mohawk and colorful masculine dress.
"Sweet heavens," he muttered to himself while shaking his head hopelessly. "It has only been a day."
"Same old Nicholas! It's so different to see you in real life! If you wonder about my hairstyle, yes I changed it this morning! My wife didn't approve but what can I say? Women... About my clothes, do you know that it's Arabian? I decided to try something new to accompany you on your little trip across the country!"
"I know I can always count on you!" Nick gladly praised. "I hate being alone, especially in such rushed missions!"
"That's why I'm here to help!" completed Cole, winking shamelessly. "As old acquaintances, I have to give you a hand! Of course, it's not exactly my job, but let's pretend that I'm on vacation!"
Nick smiled, feeling better with a friend by his side after long hours of loneliness. Cole was one special specimen on Earth.
"Let's kick it off in Texas!" the twenty-one-year-old man vociferated in a deep and firm voice.
Nick soon slipped into his old buddy's car and drove towards the first bank. He couldn't help but think about how Miley was doing. Complaining? Sleeping? Bullying a poor Chicago resident? He smiled widely, imagining her fierce look and possessive expression. He missed her -that's without a doubt- and wished to be with her at the moment present. Hold her. Kiss her. Once again.
"Nick?" Cole called with worry. "Watch where you're driving! I'm sure you want to see your lady again instead of dying in a car crash!"
Nick glared at his friend through the rearview mirror and focused back on the route. It will be just another day with Miley on his mind.
