One lonely tear fell, like you did, all alone,

when I learned of your passing

from the Yangtze,

your home.

Blind by the river; in the darkness you flew.

Oh, my modest beauty I have forsaken you.

I waited too long.

Now the dead water cries.

But you, free, are swimming

in clear, clear skies.
