Chrysalis:
I wanna be a cocoon;
Hidden from the world,
Waiting for my time
To fly free
I wanna be a cocoon;
I wanna be always alone
And in comfort
And warmth
I wanna be a cocoon;
While the rest of the world
Looks on in wonder
And anticipation
I wanna be a cocoon;
Beauty inside matters more
Than the papery leaf
In which I sit.
I wanna be a cocoon;
My words muffled,
My life quiet,
Myself to myself.
I wanna be a cocoon;
No one to decide
My fate,
Or judge me.
I wanna be a cocoon
So one day
I can say,
I became a butterfly.
