hi c: this a/n came pretty late aHHH. Looking back, I wrote this book when I as barely 15 ( like when I was literally still hung up on stuff like loombands and pocket back hand sanitizers ), and I just want to add that I was hell much immature and this might not be the best story plot or the least cringy story plot ( on the contrary, it's hella cringy), but I haven't got the time to rewrite. So thanks for reading this literal piece of trash and you have my promise that I'll try to rewrite it soon with a more mature plot (:
" 금방 지나갈 소나기죠 "
It's just a passing downpour.Ξ
I always loved the way the raindrops slided down the windows . Peering out of the window, I trailed my fingertips along the drops that trickled down one by one. A small smile formed on my face subconsciously. Rainy days were just the best day to take a good and long nap.
Unknowingly, the bus screeched to my stop with a slight jerk, snapping me out of my small stupour. I hurriedly alighted from the bus and rummaged through my bag to take my umbrella out. God must have found picking on my a joy. I flipped through my bag thoroughly, only to find my umbrella out of sight. Ruffling my hair, I groaned in despair, silently cursing when I realized that I must have left my umbrella under my table.
Whipping out my handphone, I pressed the home button once, twice, thrice, no reaction. With a sigh, I slid my phone back into my pocket.
What a day for my phone to die on me.
I slumped down on the bench at the bus stop, resigning to my terrible fate as I glanced out of the bus stop - the rain was still pouring relentlessly, with no intentions of stopping, or even becoming more gentle. There was absolutely no way I'll make it home without an umbrella.
At the corner of my eyes, a strangely-familiar figure came into sight and a small smile crept up my face. Seemed like I'll be able to catch a quick nap! I congratulated myself gleefully.
Unfortunately, remember the fact that God just loved to see me being tortured? The smile on my face disappeared like a flash of lightning when the figure was clearer.
" Oh hey sister! "
The most annoying, infuriating, disturbing, irritating voice resonated across, screechingly head-splitting and clear despite loud pitter-patter of the rain drops, making the already-gloomy surroundings even darker. A humorless laugh escaped and I whinced when the figure waved at me. With her signature smirk plastered on her face, of course.
Can this day be any worst?
I forced an equally ' friendly ' smile on my face and greeted my step-sister - Sohye. " Fancy meeting you here! " I laughed enthusiastically, waving my hand at the rain, " the rain is a tad bit too big to take a short sprint home isn't it? "
Contrary to what I had expected her reaction to be, Sohye let out a too-breezy laugh - or cackle - and swung her bag to the front before producing a baby blue umbrella.
Wait, baby blue...?
Baby blue! My eyes widened at the sight of the familiar baby blue umbrella and anger rushed up to my head, my fingers curling themselves into a fist instinctively. How dare she!
But before I could protest, Sohye swiftly opened the umbrella and stepped out of the bus stop, a sickenly sweet smile on her face, " what should we do? I only have an umbrella that can fit me? " My mouth gaped open in amazement and disbelief, a huff left my lips. How can one be so shameless? Before I could react, Sohye left the bus stop, leaving behind the echos of her victorious laugh.
Great, just great! I groaned, slumping down on the dry staircase that was protected by the shelter. I drew my knees up to my chest, hugging them tightly. The sun was setting and it was getting chilly. The wind was not helping as it howled on mercilessly. Without my jacket, it would be a miracle if I was found without suffering from hypothermia.
You are at home under your blankets with a hot Milo between your hands Hyerin. I tried to hypnotize myself thinking that I was tucked comfortly under the warm and snuggly blankets back at home.
" Fuck this shit, " vulgarities spewed from my mouth as the thoughts of Sohye invaded my subconscious. I was this close to sending a hard slap across her face.
For some reason, maybe it was late, or maybe I as simply too tired, just as my eyelids were starting to droop down, I felt someone hovering behind me, followed by a blue jacket being draped over my shoulders. Warmth immediately enveloped me and a thankful smile emerged on my face.
Whoever this kind Samaritan was, I owe you my life. Thank God.
Looking at the jacket, the prominent school crest seemed strangely familiar. Busan High
School... Isn't that the school I'm from?Tilting my head to thank the person, I was greeted by the sight of a tall, pink-haired boy. " Wai- " but before I could call out for him and stop him, he left an umbrella by my side as he walked in the opposite direction wordlessly.
Covering his head with his hands the boy sprinted across the road to a condominium, evidently drenched by the torrential rain.
Okay... I frowned, still trying to figure out who the heck was that selfless hero. Pink hair... Busan High School...
