Daniel helplessly watched the girl disappear from his sight, and that was when he collapsed onto the ground, tears stinging his eyes. Staring at the empty desk in front of him, it was the first time the seat in front of him was vacant. He could still smell her sweet scent that lingered at her seat, he could still vaguely hear her laughter from afar.

I've gone crazy. Really crazy over that girl.

Daniel gave up a loud sigh as he slammed his head on his desk. Nothing was going through his mind, nothing except for hyerin. Was she fine? Did she catch a cold? Has she taken a warm shower yet? Has she eaten her meals yet?

Daniel groaned as he abruptly stood up from his seat, pushing his chair out, he flung his bag over his shoulders as he casually walked out of class. She was really driving him insane.Ignoring the shouts and gasps from his teacher and friends, he slammed the door behind him as he walked out of class.

Unknowingly, Daniel found himself in front of her apartment, as he knocked on her door. Once, twice, thrice, no response. He whipped out his phone, dialing her number. Placing his ears at the door, he could faintly hear her phone ringing. Desperate, Daniel recalled Hyerin's house password as he punched the numbers in.

Daniel cautiously pushed the door open, stepping into hyerin's house as he looked around her house, looking for the latter. Daniel's jaws dropped in horror, his eyes darted to where Hyerin was. He stifled a scream. The voice that struggled to get out, was trapped in his throat.

God tell me it's a dream. No, a nightmare.

On the floor of the bathroom, there lay Hyerin, slouched against the toilet's walls, her body motionless, lifeless. As the life fluid drained out of her in it's garish red, her skin took on the pallor of a corpse. Hyerin's lower limb sprawled across the floor, a crumpled bloody heap of mess.

Her wrists flipped upwards, distinct cut lines slashed mercilessly across her pale skin, blood gushing out of the wound. The penknife lay beside her, covered with the red life fluid. Drips of blood on the floor. Hyerin lay on the floor, her breathing barely visible. Her eyes remained tightly shut, like a ghost, she slipped into a coma with death not far away.

" Hyerin please fucking wake up Kim Hyerin please just fucking open your eyes. "

His heart wrenched in pain, shattering as he held the girl in his embrace. She was just so close, yet so far. Witnessing the doctor wheeling his pale, lifeless patient into the emergency room, he crumpled down onto the floor, exhausted mentally and physically.

He didn't want to cry. He didn't want to lose faith. Time really seemed to crawled by, testing Daniel's limit of his patience.

" the patient is fine. As she lost quite an amount of blood, we have infused blood into her. But the cut was really deep, it's no surprise that there will be a scar. It's fortunate that she was sent in in time. "

It was only then everyone heaved a sigh of relieve. Daniel slouched against the wall, his legs giving way on him as he crumpled onto the floor. As soon as hyerin's parents left, they left the two of them in the room alone, it was just silence. Daniel had his vision down, fumbling with his fingers nervously as he bit his lips.

" hyerin... "

Daniel initiated the conversation, his head still down.

" you can't just steal my feelings and take them away if you don't have intentions of keeping them. "

Hyerin whispered, raising her tone with every word, almost in screams towards the end of her line.

" I DIDN'T MEAN TO. "

Daniel snapped as he looked up, his eyes her met with hers, they were red, brimming with tears. He lowered his voice and his gaze became gentle,

" I was forced to. Your sister made me leave you, in return of not harming you. "

Daniel took hyerin's arms, gently pulling up her sleeves, revealing two patches of greenish-purple spot, in addition to her bandaged wrists, his eyes fixated on the physical abuse on her body.

" she did it didn't she? "

Daniel asks as he carrassed the spots gently. Hyerin didn't reply, but he knew the answer. Instead, she fell straight into his arms, resting her head on his shoulders. A lone tear traced down her cheeks initially, and just like that, the floodgates opened.

" don't leave me "

Hyerin sobbed as she tightened her grip around the hem of his shirt. Daniel wrapped his arm around her petite waist, pulling her closer as he stroked her hair with his free hands.

" I won't. "

" And I don't want to.
