I peered into the closet, my heart still in my throat.

"Anyone in here?" I asked, parting the elaborate dresses, peering at the wooden back.

I waited for a voice or any sound to tell me someone else was in my room.

But only silence greeted me.

I sighed in relief and closed the closet, sitting down on the bed again.

"Get dressed."

"Dining hall in ten minutes."

"Your master."

"I will make you mine soon enough."

"Very soon your petals will fall off. And you'll die."

I closed my eyes and fell backwards onto the bed, sighing.

"Today has been crazy," I sighed.

I lay there for a few minutes, then stood up heading back towards the closet.

I opened it and my eyes glanced over the dresses.

"Might as well," I shrugged, taking one off its hanger.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I smoothed the ruffles on my dress, staring in the mirror.
The gown was midnight black with a low square neckline, sheer three quarter length sleeves and a super tight bodice that swelled into loose shiny folds as it neared my waist.
I bit my lip, wondering if a dress like this shouldn't be in a museum as it even had a lace up back.
Then I sighed again, peering in the closet once more.
"No shoes? Huh. So be it," I sighed, shutting the door.
I glanced around the room and my eyes settled on the door.
I smiled and tiptoed over, my hand resting on the handle as I hesitated.
Then I pulled the handle down and yanked the door open, running down the hallway.
I turned a corner and my eyes widened as it opened up to a huge hall with staircases leading up and down on every side.
"Where am I?" I asked, shocked.
"You are at Midnight Mansion Miss," a sweet voice said.
I whirled around and was met by the sight of two handsome boys, smiling sweetly.
They both had shining blonde hair, tanned skin and gold eyes.
"Welcome Miss," one said, both of them bowing.
"We are pleased to have you here Miss," the other said, straightening up.
"Who are you?" I asked, taking a step.
"I am Clyde, Miss," the one on the left said.
"I am Claude,Miss, " the one on the right said.
"You look the same..." I said, my voice trailing off as I realized how stupid I sounded. Of course they looked the same. They were probably twins.
"How old are you two?" I asked in wonder. They looked barely over 18 yet they spoke oddly, as if they came from a different time.
"How old are we Miss?" Clyde cocked his head to the side.
"I do believe we are four hundred years old Miss," Claude said, cocking his head in the opposite direction.
"Four hundred?!" I gasped.
"Pay no attention to my brother Miss. He's just spouting nonsense now," Clyde said, obviously annoyed.
"Oh thank goodness...I thought you actually were four hundred years old," I sighed in relief.
"I do believe the correct age was six hundred years Miss," Clyde said, smiling at me.
"Oh my mistake Miss. I do apologize," Claude said, bowing.
My eyes widened as my throat closed up.
Six hundred years old?! Who are these two?
What are these two?!
