"We are-as I'm sure you've figured out by now- vampires," Axsel smirked, his eyes flickering over me,"But we are not as your society believes. Holy water, wooden stakes and crosses do not affect us. That is a silly myth made up by people who glimpsed our kind. They believed what they wanted, because their minds would not let them believe that a living creature could be immorta-"

"You're immortal? Nothing can kill you?" I asked.

Axsels' glare hardened. "I ask you to kindly refrain from interrupting me. It ruins my train of thought," he said.

Lucas chuckled, baring his fangs.

"To answer your question, yes, we are immortal," he smirked,"The sunlight-contrary to your society's popular belief- is of no danger to us. And we do not sparkle in the sunlight either."

Lucas snarled at this; all the other boys averted their gaze, half smiles on their lips.

"That's about all you need to know. That's the basic of it anyway. Any other questions?" Axsel asked.

"What's the curse Lucas was talking about?" I asked, my courage growing.

But it quickly deflated as panicked looks crossed the boy's faces; excluding Damon and Axsels'.

Lucas looked away as Damon glared at him.

"That is no concern of yours. You are to forget whatever you have heard," Damon said, his eyes focused on Lucas, flickering over to me for only a second.

"And you! You imbecile. You spoke of it before her?" He hissed, snapping at Lucas.

"It slipped out," Lucas muttered, glaring at me.

"Slipped out?! Slipped out?!" Damon thundered, standing up. He turned to Axsel who looked at him blankly,"And you! I expected more. You must learn to control your pets. If one were to say too much-"

"We are not his pets," Migael hissed.

"Not loyal pets anyway," Damon retorted.

Migael stood up, arguing with Damon.

The twins joined in and soon all the boys except Axsel were arguing.

I opened my mouth to tell them to stop when Axsel raised his hand and silence ensued, all eyes on him.

"Enough. She knows nothing. Relax," he yawned, his eyes resting on Damon.

"I will not relax. Not when your leadership is so obviously weak," Damon snarled.

Axsel stood up, snarling.

"You're questioning my judgement?" He said, his words holding a dangerous edge.

"I'm questioning your leadership," Damon replied.

"How dare you-"

"Now now boys. Play nice," a rich voice purred.

Everyone's head whipped in the direction of the door where a lean and muscled figure stood.

"You," Axsel hissed,"What the hell are you doing here?"

The figure laughed, a warm rich sound ,as the light danced off its' short snow white hair.

"I've come to negotiate," Dante grinned, his eyes a deep blue as they raced over me.
