Part 14 Secret Revealed

[The next day]
Queen spent the whole night thinking about Roko's question:"Do you like Joker?" That question had been bothering her the whole night that she don't dare to sleep.(Main reason:I don't wanna have Joker-nightmares...)

But her mind keeps on playing her conversation with Roko and she realized that:She likes him too!
What she had been thinking the whole night:I think... ... I kinda... ... like Joker... Well, it's true that it's quite embarrassing that he acts flirty, but he still cares for me, right? But what if he's been pretending to prank me again like just now? But he still saved me several times already... But what if he's just playing around? Ugh... I really don't know about it.

"Roko? Are you free now?"

"I am, what's wrong?"

"Ok, I've think about your question and..."

"You like him?" Roko wagged his tail excitedly.

"I... ... I... ..."

Roko*thinking*:Say you like him! Say you like him!!!

"I... ... don't really... ... know?"

Roko*thinking*:Uhhh... ... It's so obvious that Joker likes her, but why won't she like him back?

"But, I think ... ... I-I... ... like... ... him?" Queen's voice grew quieter, unsure if her feelings for him is right.

"Really?" Roko's face lightened at the moment."That's great!!!"

"But..."

"But what?"Roko's face dropped a little.

"I think... I should talk to him about this, right?"

"Yup! That's right!" Roko*thinking*:Phew! Luckily not another no!

"Well, it's good to have a talk with him, Queen. But I think you should also bring a little something for him too."

"Ok then. What do you think I should bring for him?"

"Umm... What about his favorite curry?"

"That's a great idea, Roko!"Queen exclaimed.

"We'll get started now!"

"What? Right now?"

"Yup, the earlier the better!"

[In the kitchen]
"So, first, you'll cut these ingredients."

"Ok, now?"

"You'll pour water into the pan and- No! Queen! Watch out!!!"

"Argh!!!"

Queen accidentally dropped the whole pan onto the ground.

Roko*thinking*:This is going to be hard for her... ...

"Hachi, I think I should talk to Queen, right?"

"You definitely should, Joker-san. But you should also apologize to her for pranking her."

"Ok, I got that Hachi. Now, I think I should ---"

"Hello, Joker!" Spade come out of nowhere, again...

"Spade... ..."

"Uh-oh! Joker-san! Please calm d-" too late for you, Hachi...

"How many times have I told you not to come out of nowhere??!!!" Joket shots a playing card at him.

Spade just catches it and says,"Well, I came right into you, so that does not consider as a 'nowhere' does it?"

"Spade, you... ..."

"What? Speechless? Sometimes you'll have to learn to shut your mouth, you know."

"I'm telling you the last thing, Queen is mine!!!" Joker yells at him madly and then keeps on throwing playing cards at him.

"Whoa! Calm down, bro! It's just a treasure for our game, isn't it? Plus, you're the one who made her as this competition's treasure!" Spade just dodge all his cards.

Joker*thinking*:Just... a treasure... ... ? I'm really such a terrible person... ... I can't and I shouldn't have done that to Queen. Now I know I like her, but will she forgive me for doing something else like this to her? I'm- I'm so sorry, Queen. I should apologize to her as fast as I could!

Joker stopped for a while, and finally says,"You're right. I made her as our competition's treasure..." he murmured the words under his breath.

"Yes, I should've known. You are only hurting her deeper and deeper. You only want to see her desperate from getting your love when it all turns out to be a brick of lies!!!"

"Shut up! Spade! I never would ha-"

"Clang!!!" There's a moment of silence in the room. The sound of something else which sounds like silverware hitting the floor was echoing the whole room.
"What? Hachi? Is that you dropping something?"

"No, it wasn't me, Joker-san. I-it's..."

Then, they heard the sound of heels running further and further from the room.

"It was Queen-san..." Hachi said in a quiet voice.

"Queen? No! Queen!!!" Joker turns to the door and hurried after her. But when he ran to the corridor, he saw something out from the window. Queen. She used balloon gum and fly down."No... Queen... ...I'm so sorry, Queen... ..."Joker leans his back against the wall and began to cry for losing her for a stupid misunderstanding.

Joker*thinking*:Wait, is that... curry? She'd even brought my favorite food. No... I'm so sorry, Queen...

[With Queen]
She's crying over what she had heard.

(How things had gone)
Queen*thinking*:Err, I should say:Here, Joker, this is for you and about that... no, no, too straightforward... Maybe I should... Wait, what's that?

Spade's voice:"Yes, I should've known. You are only hurting her deeper and deeper. You only want to see her desperate from getting your love when it all turns out to be a brick of lies!!!"
Queen*thinking*:What? Joker... he..he lied to me???
Then her hands trembled and accidentally dropped the curry she'd brought him.

Queen*thinking*:I can't believe he lied to me! I should've trusted my senses that those were just his pranks. I guess I'm not good enough to see through him and his lies. Joker... you're a big liar !!!

Queen bursts into tears again. After landing on earth, she keeps on running and never look back at Joker nor his hideout.

She runs until she's tired to go any further. Then she heard a familiar voice talking to her:"Huh, so it's Queen, eh?"

"Huh?"

"Well, well, you'll be the one what I need."

"It's you? What do you wan- Oomph!" Queen fainted when the voice's owner covered her mouth with something that smells unusual.

"Don't try to get away, Queen. I'll be lending you from your grandpa, your puppy and your Joker!" The voice then laughed evily.

"Be prepared to face your bestest torture, Joker!" The voice's owner then grinned evily at himself.
