When Paths Cross *A Clexa FanFic*

Chapter One

Clarke's POV

Oh god, what am I going to wear? I anxiously thought as I paced around my room,passing by my unmade bed. My alarm wasn't set to the right time and I was already running late, to make matters even worse I don't even know what to wear. Oh,and let's not forget a first day at a new school full of new kids. Just my luck. By now my room was covered in various outfits that I had as options but none of them really stood out to me.
"Clarke, can I come in?" I heard a knock on the door followed by my mother's voice.
"Uh,no,I'm changing!" I shouted.
"Well hurry up you're running late and it's the first day of school" I knew that,how could I forget she's been reminding me all week.

Miraculously I ended up deciding on a pair of ripped jeans,a plain white shirt,and a grey beanie to top it off. I quickly ran down the steps grabbing my bag that I prepared the night before. I ran to the kitchen and caught an apple my mom tossed to me.
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away,except for me since I'm your mother"
"Thanks" I replied as I juggled the apple between my phone and lacing on my converse.
"Have a great day at school, make new friends and keep the grades up." She handed me a ten dollar bill for lunch and gave me a peck on the forehead.

I finally made my way out the door but was stopped by my mother. "You almost forgot.." she put the watch,that dad gave me the Christmas before he.. passed away,on my wrist. "Thanks,again" I smiled. I walked around her and made my way down our front steps.
"And Clarke!" She called
"Yes?" I turned around checking my watch, I was gonna be late for first period.
"Stay away from boys this year, we don't want a repeat of what happened last time." She firmly said with a stern look.

I just nodded and turned back around. Don't worry mom, I sure as hell don't want a repeat of last year.

A/N; And that's about it for now, I'm hoping I'll be able to put up the next part very soon. I'm still deciding whether to make this a quick short book or a long one.
