Chapter 20

AN I'm sorry I haven't updated this book but as most of you know, my dog Duchess passed away recently..I am sorry this took me so long. I hope you enjoy.

Clem's POV

I sighed and looked at Gabe. He still looked upset.

"Gabe I'm fine..." I said and he sighed.

"I know. It's just...I don't know what I would do without you." He said and looked at me. I smiled and looked at him.

"You don't have to worry about that, I'm not going anywhere." I said and he smiled and said.

"Okay Clem..."

We continued to walk and eventually Javi walked over and looked at my face. He covered his mouth.

"Clem?! I am so sorry! I didn't mean for this...I'm so sorry..." Javi said and Gabe glared.

"Shut up Javi.." Gabe said, his grip getting tighter on my hand.

"Javi..Listen I would love to forgive you...But I can't not right now..." I said and Gabe held his glare.

I sighed and Javi nodded.

He sighed and Gabe mumbled "Coward.." Before dragging us away.

I sighed and Gabe smiled at me.

"I still cant believe Javi did this to us..." He said and I sighed and nodded.

I thought for a moment about my old friends Lee and Kenny....They never would have let this happen to me...Why did I have to get them killed I was a stupid 8 year old and then I was a stupid 11 year old.. I must have started crying because Gabe was hugging me.

I sighed and wiped my eyes and Gabe asked. "What's wrong Clem?"

I sighed again and said.

"Just thinking of my old friends and all, Also how they would have probably killed Javi and David..." Gabe smiled and said.

"I'm sure they were good people Clem.."

"They were the best." I said turning to face Gabe I let go of his hand in the process.

He smiled and I said.

"I gotta do something...I'll be back..."

"Wait I want to come..." He said and honestly I had a feeling he would.

"Gabe you really wanna watch me pee?" I said and he smiled.

"Well now that you mention it-" "Gabe!" I cut him off and he chuckled.

"I'm just messing with you!" He said and I smiled.

"I know dork." I said before walking off.

I was going to find David.

He was going to tell me where AJ is...I mean I have his whole world as my boyfriend. I was gonna get answers.

I knew Gabe was gonna wonder where I went so I asked Kate to distract him if he asked if she had seen me.

I walked into an building. I knew David's office was here. I marched down the halls and finally found the door. It was actually an old principals office.

I knocked on the door with my knife my in my boot. I wasn't stupid like before. If he tried something ...I would kill him..

Gabe's POV

I stood waiting foe Clem and sighed.

"What's taking her so long..." I thought aloud and then Kate walked over to me.

"Oh hey Kate." I said and she smiled.

"A nurse told me you did something amazing for Clementine." She said and I instantly blushed.

"Oh- Uh yeah I um. Yeah I did.." I said and she smiled.

"So...How's she feeling..." She asked concerned and I smiled.

"She's fine just a good smack. Well at least that's what Eleanor said." I said and Kate smiled again.

"Gabe...Are you really mad at Javi.." She asked and I sighed.

"Yes Kate, he treated Clementine like she had done nothing for him! Clementine was his friend...He doesn't understand what she's been through!" I said angered by how foolish he was. 

Kate sighed and reached in her pocket.

It was a note from Javi.

I took it and it read.

Gabe, I know you're still mad at me. Honestly I don't blame you...I would hate me too. That's why I've decided to leave. I love you like my own son but...I just feel I'm upsetting you and Clementine. I wont go far...I'm just going to find a new group...Maybe do something better with my life....

I sighed while tearing up a little. I continued reading .

Gabe you are my nephew but  I'll always love you like a son..You were the best son I could have ever had...Don't let anyone tell you different . And Gabe always treat Clementine right...I mean  that . Tell her I'm sorry ...Please...And Gabe...By the time you are reading this..I'll be gone.

I love you bud....Javi (Your cool uncle :) )

I stared at the paper and started sobbing.

"NO! no...no...Javi... I'm so sorry...." I shook my head and looked at Kate.

She was teary eyed as well.

Clementine's POV  David opened the door as expected but he just smiled and asked.

"What do you want you filthy thieving rat?"

"I want to know where AJ is." I said and he smirked saying.

"Do you now?"

"Yes I do David..." I said and he smiled evilly.

"I'll tell you who knows where AJ is." He said and I frowned.

"Well tell me..." I said and he smiled again.

"But you have to leave Gabe alone...I mean it I don't want to see you even look at him."

I could tell I was tearing up...What was I going to do...I could stay with Gabe and have a happy life. Or find my little goofball the one person I've been looking for...
