Javi's POV

While giving everyone orders I noticed Gabe staring at Clem. It made me feel good knowing Gabe had someone around his age to talk to, but Clem, I can tell she's gone through things that would be too much for even me to bare. But I just have this feeling theres a spark between them. That's why I paired them together. Hopefully just hopefully they'll hit it off!

Gabe's POV

Once me and Clem made our way to the side of the house she pulled out a gun while I slowly opened the door. Once I opened it completely I whispered "It looks clear so far.." She zoned out almost...Then she responded with "looks can be deceiving." I stared at her for a second as she regained her thoughts and she mumbled "lets just get this over with." I nodded and we searched that room together. I managed to make her smile by asking her what a ghost's favorite icecream flavor is. She chuckled almost and responded with "I dunno Booberry?" I laughed and said "really I thought Cookies n' Scream!" We both laughed uncontrollably. I had to admit this was the most fun I've had for awhile...

Clementine's POV

I snickered a bit as Gabe tried to make small talk with him. He's pleasant to be around. He almost reminds of how things were before...

I rummaged through cabinets while Gabe kept chattering "Y'know You're pretty cool." I stared at him for a second before asking "how?" He stood still for a second and smirked. "Well you look about my age and you can take a joke despite your seriousness. Its been awhile since I've met someone at least close to my age."

I nodded and smiled at him. "Well I guess you're cool too." "You guess?!" He laughed and smiled at me again. I smiled back and thought for a moment.

Gabe's POV

It was so nice to see her smile. I want to see her smile more, she's just so cold all the time....We slowly finished scavenging the room and she managed to find some clothes for her and a bag of chips.

We met back up with Javier and Tripp and Javi spoke "We'll camp here for tonight we still need to get to Richmond..." I nodded reluctantly while Clem asked "Where are we going to sleep exactly?"

Javi replied with "Doesn't matter just plop down somewhere ill be on lookout for tonight."

Clem nodded and walked back into the room we scavenged and Javi winked at me.

I looked at him confused for a moment before he whispered "you like her don't you?" I stared at him feeling my face get warm before responding with "No...Shes just cool.." He laughed and said "Whatever bud, just don't let the kissing get that heated!" I knew then I was blushing darkly.

Nobody's POV

Everyone had settled down to sleep. Javi was awake on guard. Clem and Gabe were asleep, Kate, Elanor, and Tripp were also sleeping.
