*Jason's POV*
Mark and I were used to moving from place to place, so packing our belongings was an easy task.
We would bring only what we needed, and nothing else.
Most of me was confident about the move, but a part of me was uneasy.
What if the girl in my dream was in New York, and by moving I only pushed myself farther away from her?
I didn't know why, but I longed to find that girl and make her mine.
Why wouldn't she want to be mine?
She was the one who asked me to find her.
I was so sure about finding her, until a small part of me worried that she was nonexistent, and searching for her would be pointless.
It couldn't be.
That girl was in my dream for a reason, and I refused to believe that she didn't exist.
Maybe if I met that girl, she would change my life forever.
"Jason come downstairs, we have to get going!" Mark yelled, interrupting my train of thought.
"Whoever you are, I will find you, and I will make you mine." I thought while I trekked downstairs.
-
We had taken the bus to the airport, and now we were aboard the plane.I contemplated telling Mark about my strange dream and my mission to locate the girl in it.
But I realized that I couldn't tell him.
Mark was a sensible guy, and he would argue that I was being unreasonable, and that the girl I had seen could be anywhere on the planet.
Or he would say that she simply didn't exist.
Which would only make me more determined.
It was unexplainable, but I had a relentless drive to track her down.
I didn't even care if I had to look through every corner of the Earth, I wanted her in my arms.
"Are you doing okay Jason?" Mark asked from the seat next to me.
"Yeah..." I murmured. "Why do you ask?"
"I don't know, you just look really deep in thought." He answered. "Did you bring your medication with you?"
He was talking about my ADHD pills.
"No." I replied.
"I left them at our old house. You know I hate taking them."
"Jason what the f*ck?" Mark cursed.
"You have the take them, otherwise you're reckless."
"Why do you think I left them?" I smirked.
"I hate them, they make me sane."
"You're crazy." Mark shook his head.
"Exactly." I laughed.
Mark gave me disapproving looks for the rest of the trip.
"Crazy" suits me, but "insane" has a better ring to it.
-
After a few hours, we arrived at our destination."Could you help me carry the bags?" Mark requested as I stared out at the breathtaking skyline.
"Yeah, sure." I muttered absentmindedly.
Dallas, here I come.
-
A hotel stay was the best that Mark and I could do.We were planning on buying a house, so this place was only temporary.
The room we were staying in was getting slightly cramped, so I decided to go for a walk.
Tugging my hoodie over my head, I walked over to the door.
"Don't stay out too long." He said.
"Stop worrying Mark, I'll be fine." I dismissed him and left the hotel.
*Your POV*
A typical Tuesday afternoon.
I walked home alone as usual, and listened to music.
I tried my hardest not to dance in public, because I didn't want to look awkward.
I had a particularly awesome day at school, so I was on cloud nine.
Alexander talked to me in chemistry class, and he told me I could call him Alex.
He also gave me his number, and that made me elated.
"Today's the perfect day!" I shouted.
Nothing could bring my mood down now.
Suddenly, a hooded figure brushed past me.
I never saw his face, but he intimidated me greatly.
I didn't want to assume that he meant me any harm, but I wasn't exactly the most comfortable around him.
I shrugged the event off and kept walking.
He probably wasn't important anyway.
Nothing but Alex mattered to me now.
*Jason's POV*
That was her.
The girl from my dream.
She looked even more gorgeous in reality.
Her features matched exactly, and I was sure it was her that I was meant to find.
I wanted to take her with me then and there, but I decided to wait.
I needed to learn more about her, I needed to track her and trace her steps.
I needed a plan.
And a precise one.
If I wanted to take her with me, I had to know her every move from the time she woke up, to the time she fell asleep.
That girl would be mine.
No matter what.
-
That night in my bed, I decided.I felt strangely drawn to her, attracted in some mysterious way.
That girl?
She was my obsession.
That's the end of Part 3 :)
