*Jason's POV*
I was more determined than ever to get Y/N to love me.
So I made it a habit to walk around the house shirtless.
"It's breakfast time Y/N." I called out to her, knocking on her door.
She opened it and I could see her blushing profusely.
"Is there a problem...?" I asked, smirking.
"No..." She spoke, her face becoming more red.
"It's just...do you always have to go around the house shirtless?"
"Why? Is it bothering you?" I questioned.
"No..." She answered.
"It's just really distracting..."
"You're being ridiculous. Now come downstairs for breakfast." I shrugged her words off.
She thinks I'm attractive.
*Your POV*
Mark, Jason, and I all took seats around the dining table.
"This food looks delicious." I commented as my eyes scanned over blueberry waffles with eggs and turkey bacon.
"Not as delicious as you..." I heard Jason mutter.
"What?" I inquired.
Maybe I hadn't heard him correctly.
"Oh...nothing." He lied.Yeah, that's exactly what I thought.
At first we ate in silence, letting our hunger overtake our thoughts.
And of course I couldn't help but notice Jason staring at me.
I pretended that I hadn't caught him in the act, because confronting him would only make things more awkward.
"Uh, can I be excused?" I asked, leaving the table.
I left the dining room and went back upstairs, heading for the privacy of my room.
Moments later, I heard Jason's footsteps trailing me.
I groaned and rolled my eyes.
Couldn't Jason leave me alone for at least second?
He approached me in the hallway, trapping me against the wall peering straight into my eyes.
He bit his lips, which I couldn't help but stare at.
"I need you right now Y/N." He whispered.
"And not a moment later."
"I don't want to do this right now Jason." I said.
"Why? Why won't you just love me?" He questioned.
"Because!" I shouted.
He looked at me, awaiting a further explanation.
"Because...I can't. You're a criminal and I, I'm not. I can't love someone who steals and murders people for the fun of it."
"You think I do this for the fun of it?" He growled.
I couldn't answer him.
"Well I mean-" I started to explain myself but he cut me off.
"Let me tell you a bit about me Y/N. My parents were gunned down before my very eyes. I was told that they were criminals, drug dealers that sold their sh*t on the black market. After that, I didn't really have a choice. Everything just fell into place. Being forced into gangs isn't something fun. Gun shots, violence, drug deals, death. I saw it all. Everything I saw slowly molded me into who I am today. I don't do this for fun. I do this because it's the only lifestyle I've ever known."
He gave me a lasting glare before leaving me alone.
If I had known half of what Jason just told me, I never would've said that to him.
His life didn't seem very fun at all, but I hadn't helped the situation by saying it was.
I may not love Jason, but I care about him enough to try and protect his feelings.
But I'd just hurt them instead.
What have I done?
*Jason's POV*
Try as I might, Y/N's words stung me, and I couldn't forget them.
"I can't love someone who steals and murders people for the fun of it."
What was that supposed to mean?
I punched the wall, grunting angrily.
Things like this made me really upset.
I know I shouldn't let her, but Y/N got to me.
Her grip on me was so strong...I couldn't help but be drawn to her.
She had no idea how much power she had over me, if only she just used it.
But was I willing to change for her?
-
I fell asleep on my couch while thinking about Y/N.She was right, I was completely obsessed with her.
But I couldn't help it.
Everything about her was perfect.
Her personality, the way she talked, smiled, and laughed was angelic.
Especially her physical features. Her face, her hair, her legs...and those perfect lips that I would give anything to kiss.
I started to dream about her.
She was asleep next to me in bed, my arms wrapped firmly but gently around her waist.
She woke up and turned to face me, a big smile on her face.
"Good morning." She whispered, and I said it back just as cheerfully.
Then she leaned in to kiss me, but a split moment before her lips touched mine, she whispered something to me again.
"Wake up Jason."
My eyes popped open.
I couldn't even kiss her in my dreams.
Mark was shaking me awake and calling out my name.
"Goddamn it Mark, I was having a great dream..." I complained.
"Sorry Jase, but we have an exchange." He explained.
"Cancel it!" I yelled, waving my arm at him.
"We can't." He stated.
"Why not?" I groaned.
"Because they're angry Jason. And when they're mad, trouble takes place."
I sat up and glanced at him.
"In that case, we'd better get a move on."
That's the end of Part 14 :)
