*Jason's POV*

Darkness.

It's pitch black in this foreign vehicle.

I have no idea where I was being taken, but it seemed like I was in the back of that van forever before it stopped.

A brief argument between two people followed the lack of movement from the van.

It was tough to make out what was being said, but I managed to hear a little of it.

"They're going to be so happy when I turn him in. I'll probably get a raise." A deep voice said.

"You? I'm the one who found out where he was, all you did was drive us here!" Another voice argued, and it wasn't as deep as the first one.

Who were these people?

And what did they want with me?

"Whatever, we'll both get compensation for turning him in, so shut up and help me bring him inside." The deep voice said.

The voices went silent and a moment later, the back of the van slid open and two pairs of hands hauled me from it.

I felt too weak to fight them, and they started bringing me to a large building.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked.

No answer came from either of the men holding me.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked more roughly.

"Save your breath McCann, all of your questions will be answered soon enough." The deep voiced man responded.

They know my name?

How?

I let them drag me towards the building and bring me inside.

There, a female stood in tall leather black boots, a pair of matching camo shorts and a shirt, and a black snap back hat that said "swag" in bold white capital letters.

"Is this some sort of joke?" I questioned.

"Shut up!" She roared.

Her hair was a mane of long brown messy curls.

Her eyes were fierce, and they were a dark chocolate shade.

For some reason, she seemed familiar.

But I couldn't understand why.

"I'll be the one asking questions here, you keep your mouth shut Jason." She emphasized my name.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know who you are or why I'm here, so it's only fair that you let me ask some questions too." I continued to speak.

"You mean you don't remember me?" She inquired, her tough persona wavering slightly.

"F*ck no!" I exclaimed.

"Who the hell are you?"

She growled and slapped me.

The powerful blow nearly knocked me out again.

"What was that for?" I asked.

"How could you not remember me?" She barked.

"I'm Jessie! The girl you fell in love with three years ago!"

Now I remember.

Jessie.

I had met her on a mission.

She had been part of a rival gang, Smokers.

The first time we saw each other, we were supposed to fight.

But Jessie said she found me intriguing, and that she didn't want to oppose me.

So we snuck off together in secret, where we hung out for a while, and eventually Jessie confessed her love for me.

But I had never seen her that way.

I tried to tell her that I didn't love her like that.

However, she had been thoroughly convinced that I loved her back.

Soon, her gang found out about our secret, and they separated us.

I almost died that day, but Jessie saved my life by admitting that she loved me.

Her gang spared me, but they kicked her out for going against their rules.

Jessie hadn't cared, she told me that she was happy as long as she had me.

When I told her that I didn't love her, she became angry, and thought I had betrayed her.

So I left.

And I haven't seen her since.

Until today, that is.

"Is it all coming back to you?" She questioned.

"How you rejected me? How you betrayed me after I saved you?"

I nodded.

"I should never have helped you Jason." She smirked, lifting my chin with her finger.

"I should have let them kill you."

She shook her head and smiled.

"But it's okay. You're here now, under my rule. I'll do what I want with you, and this time, nothing will stop me from getting the revenge I deserve."

"Jessie, you don't have to do this-" I started to say, as her assistants began dragging me to the back of the room.

"You don't understand McCann." She laughed.

"For three years, I have been broken because of you. Not anymore. Now it's your turn to feel my pain."

I was brought into a dark room and thrown behind bars.

"Wait!" I yelled.

"You can't do this!"

But the assistants left the room again.

I grabbed the bars and shook them.

They were too strong for me to bend or break.

I'm going to be trapped here for a while.

That's the end of Part 27 :)
