*Jason's POV*

Y/N was all that was on my mind as I traveled through the dark hallways of the unknown building.

What if she was hurt?

What if she was dead?

That thought scared me the most.

This weird place had so many twists and turns...I wasn't sure if I would ever find my way out, even if I found Y/N.

My flashlight started to dim the farther I traveled.

That's what I get for using a keychain flashlight.

If I don't get to Y/N soon, I'll be lost in the dark.

I broke into a run and continued to search.

There were dark rooms on either side of me, and I checked all of them as I went.

None of them held Y/N.

A shockingly loud scream rang out and I went back into the hallway.

There, in the last room at the end of the hallway, was Y/N.

She was alone, and mercilessly tied down with rope.

"Y/N!" I shouted, sprinting to her.

"Jason, don't come near me, it's a trap!" She screamed.

Too late.

A bullet struck my shoulder, and I was punched to the ground.

"Well, look who came for his little girlfriend." A voice laughed as I groaned in pain.

"You're going to pay for selling me cheap drugs Paul."

Paul?

The name must've been an attempt from Y/N to cover up my real name.

This was why I loved her.

"Did you really think that it would be so easy to rescue her?" The man standing over me spoke.

He whipped out a gun and pulled it on me.

"Say your last words, because this is your end." He smirked.

"You should really look behind you." I muttered.

"And let you pull a gun on me while I'm distracted?" He snickered.

"I won't fall for tha-"

He fell to the ground, lifeless.

Mark glanced at me.

"Are you okay Jase?" He asked me, tucking his gun in his pocket.

"Don't worry about me, untie her." I commanded him.

He gave me a long stare and went over to Y/N.

She looked absolutely petrified.

I staggered to my feet and clasped my shoulder.

It hurts like hell...

I hadn't been shot by a bullet in a while.

I ran over to her and she examined my arm.

"Are you okay?" She asked timidly.

"I'm fine." I lied.

"As long as your okay, I am too."

She stared at my bleeding shoulder.

"Are you sure? It looks like it hurts a lot..."

"Yeah, I'll be okay." I tried to reassure her.

"Please Jason, don't make me do this anymore...I can't see anymore people die, I just can't..." She begged me.

I nodded.

Anything for her...

*Your POV*

I finished wrapping Jason's arm up with bandages.

It's late, at least two a.m.

It took us about an hour to escape that weird building and another hour for us to find home.

Well, Jason and Mark's home anyway.

We now sat together on Jason's bed, not saying anything.

His eyes caught mine, and he pulled me on top of him with his good arm.

"You can't keep me away from you anymore." He whispered.

"You obviously care about me, or you wouldn't have bandaged me up. Just admit it Y/N, you've fallen for me too."

I severely wanted him to be wrong, but he wasn't.

He had been right all along.

But I couldn't let him know that.

Because maybe if I pretended that I never developed feelings for him, he would let me go home.

Did I really want to go home though?

Sure I missed my family, but I would miss Jason a lot more if I left him...

No.

I wouldn't let myself fall for him any more than I already had.

I tried to get off him, but he held me firmly.

"You're not escaping me this time." He murmured.

"No matter how much you beg me, I'm not letting you go."

He pulled me even closer to his body, and I silently cursed myself for letting him get this close to me.

"I've waited forever for this moment..." He whispered.

His lips got closer and closer to mine.

And as much as I wanted him to kiss me, I wouldn't let him.

I used my free arm and gave his good arm a mighty whack.

Jason immediately released me, and I rolled to the ground.

We sat in silence for a bit, and he finally spoke up.

"You really don't like me, do you?"

I remained silent.

It's not that I don't like you Jason, it's that I won't let myself like you.

That's the end of Part 17 :)
