*Jason's POV*
Rage.
That's all that I felt these days.
Whatever I do, I'm angry, and I can never let that anger go.
But I have to eventually.
Because if I don't, these emotions will consume me.
"Jason, I know you don't want ro be bothered right now, but I just need to tell you that we have an exchange tonight." Mark informed me.
Mark was very well aware that Y/N was trapped in the basement.
However, he knew better than to question or go against my actions.
Especially when I'm frustrated.
"Great, then we'll prepare for tonight." I answered.
He cleared his throat and glanced at the floor.
"Um, I was kinda wondering if we were bringing, her along." He said.
I froze immediately.
Saying anything about Y/N at all made me upset.
The mere mention of her name drove me mad.
I always acted like I was angry whenever it came to her, but really, it's just a disguise for how hurt I am.
She broke me, badly, and when I think of her it makes the pain of grieving even worse.
"No." I stated coldly.
"She can stay in the basement."
Why does she still have my heart if she's the reason that it's broken?
*Your POV*
I'm not sure how much more of this dark and freezing basement I can take.
Jason's had me down here for almost a month now, and hasn't come down here once in that time period.
If it weren't for Mark, I wouldn't be getting any food or water.
I'd probably be dead already.
My mind flashed back to yesterday night, when Mark served me dinner.
"Here you go, a tuna fish sandwich." He smiled.
"I'm sorry about the simplicity, Jason won't let me make anything complex for you."
Silence had blanketed the room, and Mark turned to leave.
"Wait!" I called to him.
"Why is he doing this?"
He stayed quiet for a moment.
"Y/N...you really hurt Jason." He explained to me, joining me on the cold floor.
"He loves you, he loves you a lot. And you're his first love. He's never had feelings for anyone before. Especially strong feelings like this. What you did...it messed up his mind. Now he thinks that you don't care anymore, that you never cared. But that's because he's never expirienced heartbreak before. He must feel like his heart is being ripped out of his chest."
Those words affected me much more than I wanted them to.
What I had almost done to Jason was wrong.
But it was my only way of leaving this horrid place.
And I just have one burning question.
How could anyone mistake a crazed obsession for love?
-
Four days sped by, and I grew more lonely through each one.Mark visited with food less and less, which I'm sure Jason had something to do with.
No one ever really came to the basement, and I'm sure they forgot about me.
I'm barely surviving, since my food supply was slowly being cut off.
I can't call this living, because being locked and chained up in a basement is not a life.
Regret is all I can think of while I'm imprisoned, how much I wish I had never tried to hurt Jason.
I'm going to die down here alone.
The realization sank in, and salty tears fell from my eyes.
At that moment, the basement door creaked open.
None other but Jason came down the stairs.
I'd never been more happy to see him than now.
"Don't say anything to me at all." He instructed me before I could speak.
His whole demeanor was different.
His hair was more dull and faded, his eyes dark and distant, completely drained of their heartwarming hazel color.
His lips were closer to gray than their usual soft pink, and his skin looked paler than normal.
Did I do this to him?
Or is his obsessed mind what's responsible for the change?
"This isn't freedom." He made clear.
"I am not down here to unchain you, or to accept any of your pathetic apologies. Because nothing you say to me right now will help you."
*Jason's POV*
Finally, I worked up the courage to visit Y/N.
Right now, I wanted nothing more than to hold her and kiss her and never let her go.
But I can't do that.
If I give myself away to her again, she may break me even more than the first time.
And that's just a risk that a person like me just can't take.
"I will never let you go." I rasped.
"You may have hurt me, but I still love you and I just won't let that love die."
"Is that what you're here for?" She murmured.
"To tell me again that I'm here forever?"
She's right.
What do I really want from her?
"You're coming with me." I whispered.
"And you will do everything I say."
I just want to control her.
That's the end of Part 21 :)
